Hey Guys,

Anyone already getting their paperwork ready for NVC in advance. If you have any advice on what we should be doing to ensure that the next step in the long process is as quick as possible, please share.

I've been doing some research, and I'm concerned about the Domicile one, as I (the petitioner) have to prove intent to reestablish domicile. Anyone else in the same boat. I don't know if I have to except a job in the U.S. and move back to the U.S. before I file my AOS or just before my wife's interview at the consulate.

Good luck to everybody; May filers should start seeing lots of I-130 approvals soon.

Cheers.

My wife has gotten all it ready and organised. (Impatient woman! ;).

The domicile one, she did a cover letter with support of what she did to maintain US domicile, and ways to re-establish.

This is what she has come up with so far (in some countries they aren't too picky about it to be honest).

Steps I have taken to maintain US Domicile:
Maintained my Florida voter registration
Maintained my bank account at XXXXXX Bank.
Maintained my savings/investment account at XXXX bank.
Maintained my drivers license, renewed and recently issued on XXXXXXXXXXX
Maintained my education in the United States, enrolled in XXXXXX university
Supporting documents for the above steps I have taken:
Voter registration card showing permanent US address
Bank statements showing US billing address/ and activity
Drivers license showing permanent US address
license currently up to date as issued (XXXXXXXX)
XXXXXX university showing permanent US address
Steps I have taken to return to the US to take up residence:
Contacting shipping company for estimate of cost to ship belongings (UPS) -E-mails back and forth with shipping costs estimates.
Made arrangements for us to have a house to live in until we find our own place.
Not owning any property or house/apartment in the United Kingdom, rent only and on a monthly contract.
Supporting documents for the above steps I have taken:
Parent agreed to letting us stay with them until then.
Email from UPS company with estimate and correspondence regarding shipping our belongs
Email with landlord/Agency showing we are on a monthly contract, not owning any property or house/apartment in the United Kingdom

Hi,

We're in the same situation. My husband lives in Poland since September 2012.

I have so many concerns after i read this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/458131-denied-visa-at-interview/

We're not getting any paperwork ready for NVC. I don't want to think about it now.

Hey guys, first post but need to do some venting. Over 9 months since we got married, then filed first week of May. Only update we've had is on Dec 5th that we'd been sent to Nebraska. My wife called today and still nothing, we haven't even been assigned an immigration officer.... 250 days(ish) of been in a pile of paperwork. The USCIS don't give two hoots and don't want to assist in anyway.

Would anyone have any positive news?

We are right there with you guys, filed first week of May, Transferred December 5th. Our anniversary is the beginning of march. It's just ridiculous it's taking this long. I try and stay positive we are getting close, but then the thought of several more months at NVC, and waiting for the interview kills the buzz.

You are currently exceeding, or about to exceed, the Nebraska Service Center processing times of 8.5 months. I suggest you call them again and ask for a service request, which I believe you are entitled to do once you exceed processing times.

No positive comments from my wife and myself I'm afraid, just sheer frustration and anger. Back in May 2013, I fully believed this process would be over with and completed, and we'd be getting on with our lives at this point. The onjly positive thought I have left is that we're nearing the end, and the NVC process that comes after this should be fairly straight forward and speedy.

The latest USCIS processing time update shows Nebraska at March 30, 2013. I don't believe they will do a service request, unless you filed before that date. Even for those of us that received the "60 day" letter with our transfer paperwork. But I'm going to bug them like crazy, after 60 days.
