Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I have a question for EP. I sent an email on Aug. 14 for requesting EP using NVCElectronic email address, but I have not heard anything back from NVC yet except for the autoresponse email. I already paid the IV fee online and the status shows 'PAID' today. Usually, How long will it take to get the acceptance for the OPTIN email? Actually, I paid a fee for an attorney to handle my case, but they said they only do it in mail not EP. If I have to insist on the EP process, I have to do by myself, otherwise I am going to pay extra fee for that.

Should I wait for the aceptance of OPTIN email to submit the documents by myself? Or should I ask the attorney to send in mail at this time?

Thanks

is about 2 weeks from sending, till acceptance and notification.

Apologies, there's a queue.

Want more info? Call into NVC, ask for a supervisor, then ask for the OPT IN Email to be found, reviewed, and acted upon.

Hi Darnell,

Thanks a lot for the information. Do you think it would be better to wait for the acceptance for the OPTIN than ask the attorney to submit in mail? Also, does it matter for the email address to send the OPTIN email and following documents?

Thanks again

once stuff is opted in (properly)

then NVC is listening on those one or two email addresses.

one usually = petitioner

two usually = petitioner or beneficiary

Nota.Bene.: Do you have aversion to using a telephone? Please say so, if, indeed, that's the case. TelePhone Usage at NVC is not only ALLOWED, but it's so useful when trying to get stuff done in a timely manner.

Seriously, call, ask for Supervisor, talk with Supervisor.

Actually, I called them once a day this week and was told no OPTIN information yet by the operator. I am going to call for a supervisor now and see if I can get some useful information.

Thanks

Just called the NVC and talked with the supervisor. I was told my case is not eligible for EP since it is employer based. I have to send the document in mail. That is very bad.

Thanks Darnell

I filed I-824 based on the approved I-485 application and I didn't the AOS fee for that. My attorney told me they dropped the package by USPS priority mail yesterday evening instead of overnight mail. I could not find the shipping track yet. What a bad attorney for that. Hopefully, NVC can receive the package next couple of days and will close the case soon.

Cool. Usually I check ceac.state.gov each day, to see if any status change.

Today I check, and it notes that since 23 AUG 2013, the case has been in administrative processing.

I take that to be a good sign.

Still no interview date showing at that ustraveldocs portal thingie, but I not expect anything there for my wife's casefile till after the interview day.

Had a long talk with a DoS fella today - he has no clue why it's pegged for administrative processing either. We talked of such things as 'casefile opened', and he tried to tell me that GUZ IV would be sending her a packet 3. Geez. Still, the interview date is set , so nothing's changed there.

Hi Darnell,

Congratulations on your Interview Date! I see you are having lots of problems with them too.. with getting interview date and administrative processing now?

Right now I'm trying to get her parents over here.. We sent our I-130 (ughh, all over again) in January and got approved March 28.. They sent to NVC and now just waiting.. current status is "At NVC" from the website.. Also, NVC didn't receive it until June from USCIS.. problems all over again for me.. We are really hoping it would be fast because she misses her parents too.. so I'm back in the fight soon if they don't do anything...

gogo

gogo - if you want to go fast at NVC - ya gotta use a telephone. that's the same for EP or paper. Regardless, June casefile arrival sounds rather squishy.

If paper casefile - follow Lingche at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

If EP, follow my wiki over at http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing

The petitioner or beneficiary can make that first phone call, give over email addresses, and things get kick started at NVC, regardless of the method. Where are you for status at NVC?
