My husband and I received a letter for us to attend an I751 Interview on May 2, 2013. We went with all our documents. My husband works in Orlando and I in South F wife. We reached at the Oakland Pk office at 7:45am to meet up with the lawyer so we can feel a little more comfortable. We were called in at about 8:10am and the IO asked us some basic verification questions for about 10mins. She then left the office, came back and told us that she wants to separate us. She escorted my husband out to the lobby and she interviewed me for about 45mins. I answered all the questions. She asked me about my husband's tattoos. I told her I hated tattoos but she wanted me to describe them. I said one looks like dragon (really a wolf), one was a woman on his left arm and my Nick name on his left. My husband has one on his ribcage but i told her it was on his foot. But i told her I hate those tattoos and because we live apart but still happily married, she also asked him when he came in and he said my wife hates these tattoos! She was like, " I don't understand why your wife don't know about your tattoos". My husband was like when a person doesnt like something they pay no mind to it!

Long story short.....we got like 4-5 questions answered differently out of about 45-50 questions.

She didn't ask for any of the documents I walked with. She just said we will get a letter in the mail. Nothing else.

we had our 2nd interview on May 2, we walked with all our docs. we were separated and i was interrogated for about 45mins. I got about 40-50 questions. then IO interviewed \my husband for about 30mins. We answered about 4-5 questions out of about 40-50 questions differently. All the documents we walked with, she did not ask for them. She just told my husband and the lawyer that we will get a letter in the mail.

What does this mean? The lawyer told us we got 4-5 big questions mixed up.........

Yikes. First what do you mean you live apart?

And saying a foot tattoo when it's on his ribcage. WOE thats pretty major mess up. Your lawyer seems concerned. Maybe they will request another stokes interview. But those misses show you guys don't seem to be intimate or know each other well.

And you saying you don't live together. Hmmmm

Since you got a second interview then they already suspect that something is amiss.

You will likely receive an approval or denial notice in the mail. At this point they are probably done with interviews.

Sounds like you had a stokes interview, this happens when they suspect fraud. I hope your lawyer is a very very good immigration lawyer. If not fire him and get a good one.

Which questions did you get wrong?

You had a Stokes Interview. It means they do not believe your relationship is real. Failing to have "big questions" the same is a big red flag. If you get denied, which sounds likely from what you've said so far, you will need to go before an immigration judge and plead your case.

It sounds as if it could go either way.

I was disinterested with regards to my wife's tattoo, but I knew it was on her right ankle.

Your husbands statement about "when a person doesnt like something they pay no mind to it" is the exact opposite of what typically happens.. most people remember things EXACTLY when they hate them, they roll over and over in their brain... not to mention if you're actually a legit couple.... you couldn't help but see them.

My husband has 3. I look at him enough to tell you which one is where and probably duplicate them.

I'm sorry but it doesn't look like you know each other very well. Were the tattoos the main questions you got wrong? Were there others?

In my layman's opinion, describing your husband's tattoo as a dragon when it's a wolf, and saying a tattoo is on his foot when it's on his ribcage is a MAJOR red flag. I can understand hating them and avoiding to look at them much for this reason, but if they're there and you are happily married as you say, you can't help looking at them like someone else said, at least every now and then.

Especially the ribcage one - I don't mean to be indiscreet, but you should have been very familiar with this one as you would probably see it over and over and over again every time you and husband get intimate. Again, pardon this comment and I don't mean to be indiscreet, but that's how I see it. That's how I would see it if I was the IO adjudicating the case and that's probably how the IO saw it as well. That, together with the fact that you don't live together, are major red flags.

As to what could happen from now on: probably either an approval or a denial, but not much else. If you've already had two interviews (which I understand is rare in itself) then you're just awaiting their decision. If your marriage is bona fide despite the lack of a common residence and the lack of knowledge on things that any couple getting intimate would know inside out, I wish you luck overturning the decision at court, if the decision is not in your favor. Keep us posted on what happens.

My husband lives in Orlando because he works there. It was very hard for him to get a job in South FL and his cousin got him that job there. It is a very good job with a reputable company and I also have a good job in South FL. He did apply for a transfer like 6mths into the job but it doesn't have his position down here. Remember, we have to be going back and forth to see each other. He got the apt so when my son and I go to Orlando to spend time with him he has a place for us. I do know my husband. It's just that he is always getting tattoos and he would say he is getting one one day and the next day he didn't get it but a different one.....and really because we see each other like 2-3 times a month, when I see him I pay no mind to the tattoos.....we have other things to catch up on because we have 2 sets of bills to see about.
