Sweet.. Wow. Almost there.. so happy for you.

I would contact the Sydney embassy to check about the DS-230 & DS-260. From what I have found on google, Immigrant visas require the DS-260 and the Nonimmigrant visas need the DS-230.

Immigrant Visa - Syd

http://canberra.usembassy.gov/appr_pet_family.html

Nonimmigrant visa - Syd

http://canberra.usembassy.gov/fiance_niv_appl.html

K1 is a Nonimmigrant according to these websites

THanks Ozgirl! Yeah it clearly says in the email they sent me it is DS-230. No mention was made about DS-260. I have basically filled out the form already. It almost did my head in having to fill out previous schools etc. I only put university as that is the only place i got a degree. Have you heard anything about your case no.?

Excellent... you're well on your way then. It's a good thing that you got pk 3 straight away. That could be a good sign that Syd embassy aren't that busy.

As for us, nope. No case number yet. I have read on VJ that 42 and 43 days waiting is a great number for getting case numbers for CSC filers. I'm thinking I may just scrape in the case number before the medicals. I think 43 days waiting for us wil be over on the 17th Oct, medicals on the 22nd. I'll be calling them every day this week.

After 3yrs of relationship (3rd yr anniversary in few days), 5 airport goodbyes, 9 months apart (this is longest span of not seeing each other), I'm so ready to get case number. I-134's are about to be posted to me from USA so i'll be ready for the embassy.

Let's hope you get the case number just in time for your medical! That would be awesome :)

I haven't seen my fiance since March 4 so i feel your pain. We're nearly there Ozgirl. Keep focused on the end goal and we'll soon be with our men for good! :)

Btw, is your fiance including any tax returns along with his i-i34? I told my fiance to send me a copy of his most recent tax return just incase the embassy wants it as well as bank statement, employment letter and a few recent pay stubs. Hopefully that should be sufficient! And ofcourse with an updated letter of intent.

Yeah, My fiance left 16th Jan and it's been a heart ache. Skype video calls dont really feel as good. LOL

Yes, My fiance is including the last 3 tax returns (as he has changed jobs and retired in the last 3 yrs) The last tax return should suffice if there hasn't been any major changes I would think. Bank statement, employment letter & recent pay stubs (my fiance can't do that as retired, hence the extra tax returns) they should be fine as supporting evidence. And yes, dont forget the letter of intent dated closer to now.
My co-sponsor, an Texan immigration lawyer *giggle*, who hasn't really helped us much but has been a great sounding board when it comes to venting about how slow the NVC are LOL and he isn't charging us any $$ for advice, has also included the above supporting evidence for the I-134 that you are including.

While I'm here. I need some advice from those who have experience with medicals....
I have had a medical diagnosis of clinical depression in the past. Last time I was medicated was about 4-5yrs ago. My depression has been noted as environmental depression. I was in a very abusive relationship with my childrens father and I was hospitalised quite a few times due to depression.

My question is: Will the Dr. send me for psych evaluation? I was going to get a letter from my Dr. to say that i'm not a risk to myself or anyone else, but she has gone to England on holidays for 4 weeks and wont be back until 2 weeks after my medical. I dont want to delay this process any longer than it has already been. It's the only thing that I dont feel like I can cover enough to float thru the rest of this process as it should.
Thanks for any advice.

Has anyone here in the May filer forum waited over 3 weeks for a NOA2 after rfe reply?

At the time when I got my RFE, I was searching for RFE to NOA2 times, I did see some that waited just under a month. From memory, I think 29 days was the average then. You shouldn't have too much of a wait left. Fingers are crossed that you hear soon. A good thing for you being a VSC filer, you'll get your case number quickly in comparison with CSC.

With the depression issue, you're right in thinking they mainly want to see the "Not a danger to self or others" letter. If you cannot present that for whatever reason they'll hold fire on approving the medical until the letter's in their hands either by fax or physically. I don't think they'd send you off for a psych evaluation unless they had reason to believe that you were still a danger to yourself/others.

Thanks for your reply. I'll see if I can find a Dr who can do one for me. Thankfully my health record is on my Dr clinic PC network, so they all have access to my record, so another Dr. I have seen might do one for me. I'll see what I can do. I have a few options.

Hi Ozgirl

Just catching up on what I missed over the last few days.

I think your really strong since you have been through a lot. And now you have found the love of you life it only gets better from here. There's always a light t the end of the tunnel. Your found your light.

As Ryan said they would require a letter from your doctor. Surely someone else at the surgery can pull up your records and write the letter for you. Please don't go to your medical without that letter or you run the risk of more delays.

As for your case number I pray this week will bring good news to you and your family. :) :) :)

As for your case number I pray this week will bring good news to you and your family. smile.pngsmile.pngsmile.png

Thanks Nurselling. I wont put my life story here, but yes, I am a true survivor, as are my children. We have all been thru so much. The man in my life and my childrens life now has the utmost respect for me and my children. He accepts us as a package. Yes, we have baggage, but we have so much of a future to work on now. My head is high and my heart is stronger than ever before. The light is shining brightly.

Yes, I'm going to take Ryan and your advice. I'm going to call the clinic just in case my Dr. hasn't left yet or to make an app to see another dr. I have Plan A, B, C & D. So one of them should be able to help me and I wont go without the letter.

And yes, I'm praying the case number comes thru this week. 40 days is long enough.

Well, after doing some DHL tracking last night I'm of the opinion that our stuff hit London from the NVC as of Thursday so keeping fingers crossed for Packet 3 this week or something.

On the Passport front, I'll make another appointment now I have a countersignatory sorted.

Hey Ryan

I was a little to anxiousness to get the ball rolling so sent my packet 3 before I actually received it from them. The file was ready according to CEAC website on the 28th August I didn't get packet 3 till the 6th of September. And I think the letter was dated the 4th and it arrived on the 6th. But my feelings was that they only sent it out cos they received my packet 3 forms on the 3rd sept and since someone from their office signed for it they had to send me packet 3 out on the 4th. London does drag their feet. So unless you want to do what I did I suggest you prepare for some feet dragging from them.
