Yesterday I called NVC and the gave a case number...then I called Cuban's Interesest Office in Havana for scheduling a date for the interview, but I was informed that they have not received my documents yet ("processing status at NVC)...so they could not scheduling an interview for my fiance until they have the original papers from NVC...

My questions:

1- How many days can take the NCV to send the documents to the consulate after a case number has been generated?

2- How can we track it (by DHL) if we don't have the tracking reference or account?

Thank you in advance...

it takes approximately 6 days for it to be processed. and you can't really track it, but you can call the embassy in your country to check if they have received it.

JCarlos1, congrats on getting this far in the process!! you are in the running stretch- just call again in a couple of days to see if it arrived- you know how mail is in cuba.

Dyno305 just start a regular forum. Being as Cuba is your listed country, it will show up in CUba Country Portal. Thats what I did :)

Hello,

I am just a step above you.

I am in San Diego, Ca. & trying to bring my fiancee here from Cuba.

The dept. of state sent me a letter with a case number & USCIS receipt number, then you go to this website: http://nvc.state.gov/k1

which i did & filled out the DS 160 online from here (which it said you could do) and paid from here, went to a 7/11 store paid cash $160.00 and

it transmitted straight to the Interest office in Havana, I also made an appointment for my Fiancee online. I found a list of authorized doctors

and sent that to my Fiancee. He got the medical check up, paid $405.00 in U.S. money.

Went to his appointment, the day after President Obama's speech, and they REFUSED him & said that I checked the wrong box, or filled out the wrong paperwork

for a tourist visa, instead of a fiance visa. Or non-immigrant, as opposed to immigrant??

So, I went to go back into the case number & it tells me that our record does not exist.

I consulted the paralegal who did the I-129F for me, & NOW he is telling me that I was suppose to pay first, then the forms would populate, and then fill out

the form DS261, and DS260 online, and fill out an affadavit of support??

I have been trying to sign back in, & it still will not let me, and I get conflicting instructions from everyone. I have called the Interest office in Havana,

countless times, they don't answer. I have emailed, no reply, I called the Natl Visa Ctr, they said contact the Interest office.

I hope you have better luck than me at this point. I am taking a break from this, because if I don't I might go crazy from all the reading & paper work.

IF, by chance you get a clear answer maybe we can help each other along the way.

It is not easy to find clear concise answers.

Oh.........also he traveled 12 hours to get to Havana, then had to travel back 12 hours for Christmas with his immediate family over there, since he

did not make it here.

We have not seen each a little over 2 years. I traveled to Cuba Oct. of 2012.

Best Wishes,

Bee
