It only took about 20 minutes for Benny's interview / test. The question he had difficulty with was about what the constitution was. He knew the answer but he was just too nervous. Benny passed and will be a citizen in a month or two!

:-) just found online that I'm now placed in the oath scheduling que ~ one more step to the finish line.

Such a relief. I did AR-11 address change (still same jurisdiction) 4 days after naturalization interview, and worried that it will affect something.

So my naturalization interview went out fine. It actually started 15 minutes earlier then scheduled time. I bought all the required papers but were only asked to present passport (IO didn't even look inside pages), green card, and drivers license. I did name change request, so IO also gave me some papers to sign. Also, because of my name change request, I will need to go to the court for oath ceremony.

Questions IO asked:

1. My address, how many times traveled during application, any traveling after interview, yes/no questions from N400 form

2. 6 questions: who's the governor, where's statue of liberty, name 2 holidays, capital of US, when is election, be loyal to the US.

3. written and oral: The president lives in the White House.

I received my letter for interview in June. Today in the mail I received another letter and saw the dreaded yellow paper (well not dreaded but to me it meant something was not clear on my application) anyway ....

USCIS recommends you bring the following documents to your interview:

*Bring your state-issued driver's license or state-issued identification card.


Well I live 200 plus miles from San Antonio and the helicopter is out of service - guess I will have to drive LOL


I have seen people being asked to bring marriage documents and taxation records - I thought he license would have been a given. lol

I'm 35 years old, and have a naturalization interview soon, I did not register for selective service since im over 26 years old, Do I still to register just in case or what? Please any body with experience in this or who is in my age to advise ASAP.

If you were a legal immigrant, or you were going through the process of becoming one when you were between the ages of 18 and 26, you would have needed to register.

For example, the requirement did not apply to me, because at age 18-26 I did not have an immigrant status. I obtained residency at age 30, and I will interview for Naturalization as well... next month, 3 years later.

Unless the one of the conditions above are met for you, I would think you are ok.

I did my interview yesterday and I pass the test the officer was very nice , but the need my joint bank account and bill show my name with my wife and she told me ASAP I got you doucment I will make the Decision i submit all the doucment yesterday and hopfully by the end if next week I got the Decision

Good luck for all the test very easy no need to be nerves

If you arrived in America after your 26th birthday you didn't ever have to register. My son had to sign up to get his greencard and it was part of that process (just had to sign to say you wanted to sign up)
