Hi everyone .. I got my REF letter today and they are requesting evidence of meeting in person within 2 years prior to applying.. Also they have an option which I can submit a waiver that explaines why I didn't meet him in person . I will do a waiver because I met him about 2 & half years ago .. Hope they accept this .. I also will submit all call logs and pics from online cam chat and see if they accept ..

chat log and online pictures are not considered meeting in person within 2yrs before filing.

you mention its been 2yrs and 1/2 since you saw you fiance...they won't consider that!!

you could apply for waiver only for this ff reason.

* extreme harship or customary.

* cultural or social practices that prohibited your meeting.

other than that your application might get denied!!!.....i will suggest to meet in person and resubmit..goodluck!!!

I thought in your culture that a man could be with a woman prior to marriage if chaperoned? Is that not correct?

I am sorry, but your arguments of fear of losing your job and having custody of your kids (which I also assume you had 2.5 years ago when you went the first time yes?). You need to be prepared to have your waiver denied.

good luck

The sad thing is the lawyer who filled and submitted the petition never mentioned i need to have a personal meeting within 2 years or pictures for evidences,All he told me my fiance will be here within 90 days and its very easy and i waited and waited for more than 6 months and here i am now facing a denial and another 6 month if not more waiting and its all because i wasnt aware of the requirments and trusted a "lawyer".. i am sure if i knew i would of managed a trip and so on but now i think its too late, Maybe i need to plan for a meeting and do everything all over in a better format with evidences and more formal way maybe go to my country and meet there with the present of family members and freinds and i guess when i reapply i will come here for advices instead of a idiot laywer that doent know what he is doing, i never done that before but now i learned alot off this site, thanks everyone , i respect your advice and opinions , best luck to all

You mentioned that you became lovers a year ago, being lovers involves having sex. t.Then you go on to say that you cannot "be" with him until marriage. So which is it, are u you lovers or not?? You are contradicting yourself. Being lovers involves having sex.

I suggest you bank some monies and make a new trip late summer, then file again. Suggest additional budget to pay the chaperone.

Sorry you're gonna have some problems, prior.

I know someone taht files 3 days after 2 years and it was a flat out denial. Don't waste more time trying to fix it with a waiver it won't work.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
