As long as it comes from an american bank, I believe it's okay. The payment itself isn't really online but rather you use your checks to provide the appropriate numbers needed.

wow - i have a database error now when logging in.

From my copious notes on this - either the GZO # is being generated or I'm getting an IV fee bill next (whenever next is, 10 minutes to 4 days).

all n all, cool.

False alarm. bah. meh.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

NVC still has not received my package and today its officialy one month ;(

Did you do EP? If so, did you send it to the right email address? Did you have the case number in the subject line?

If not EP, did you get tracking? Does it show delivered?

Either way, have you been calling NVC asking about your status of the package? What do they say?

does your Consular casefile number start with

-MEP or

-JDL or

-JAL or

-CDJ

or something else ?

Our case is complete as of today!

What do I do now? Call until NVC sets an interview date? Will they send the paperwork to the consulate now or after the interview date is set? How many days does it take for them to notify me on the interview date? Will they email/send me snail mail with the confirmed date?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm super anxious/excited!

Go back, read post #1 and Post #2.

Whilst at Post #1 - if you see a link, click through it, read the entire content of that link

and then.............

Report back when you get to the end of Post #2.

Thank You !

Update re: USCIS Immigrant fee for minor children.

Called up USCIS twice jst to be sure, too bad my husband has to pay the $165 twice (for me and our toddler).

The first agent told me that we have to pay it for the child because he must first be an LPR for 1 year before my husband can file for his citizenship.

Second agent confirmed that we also have to pay for the child because the $165 fee applies to every member of the family immigrating to the US.

woo hoo ! how many ISO humans y'all speak with ?

here's the fun part.

when everyone hits the POE, everyone gets stamps in passport, validating the visa to be used as a 1 year I-551 document for one year.

One doesn't NEED a green card, as one has the 1 year temp I-551 document, right there.

----

So, keep at it, you've covered 2 percent of the info you need to be complete and accurate - you need that 98 percent more. I'm sticking with my original posit ( 'cause I'm right ) and I'll leave it to you to figure it out the why and how..

After I received the info and hung up on the first call (Abby), I called USCIS again just for confirmation and got a different agent (Dianne). So I presented again my child's scenario, mentioning that my child will be considered a USC upon POE under the US Child Citizenship Act of 2000 and that my husband is a Naturalized USC, there was a brief pause from Dianne but she told me to pay the fee for my child.

IMO, NO, I think we will NOT be paying the $165 for my child.

You have not spoken with any ISOs yet.

The first person who answers the phone is a CSR.

Not an ISO.

More like 2 weeks, as it often takes NVC 2 weeks to get to emails. But, it's ultimately up to you...
