Yes, it was you to whom I was referring. I know that was very hard for you. To answer your question, I am the male petitioning for the female. I submitted a certificate of shahada, we met at a muslim matrimonial site, previous marriage license stating I was married in masjid, and the fact that it was ramadan so we did not have a engagement party.

One other thing, if we get married I will stay in Morocco. I will just travel back to the USA to see my son once every three months. So if I have to wait, then I will wait with what would then be my "wife". We are prepared to do everything.

By the way, she is finishing her last year of law school. I guess I should have asked her before submitting the post. She told me how long it would take and her teachers have no problem helping us expedite this process.

Thanks for all the information.

How long have you know her and if you move to Morocco what will you do for money? ME I want to move to MOrocco also, my fiacne is begging me to come with my son, but becuase of my military duty I can not. He said that he can support me and my son and that if I want to leave America he is okay. We have mad eother plans for us and we will keep going with the visa, but I will get rid of my debt, go to Morocco on a regular basis and I will finish my Masters Degree and once I am finshed I am out of here. So I think we have given up but we will continue to try at least nobody wants to go a long time without there loved one and we will marry soon if we do not hear anything by this time next year. I hear so many bad stories that I have totally given up on this country.

If you have the option of staying in Morocco, you can file for Direct Consulate Filing. It's a very quick process once you hve met the resideincy requirements (which I think is 6 months?) There are some posters here who know this process as well. Someone help me remember who?
