Awww don't be sad! This is a long process and it's hard to go through it. I guess you're starting now and if you start with a sad mood it's going to be even harder :(

In the end it would just take a bit longer! It's not like they're going to make you guys divorce!

Good luck and hugs!

Awww.. Thanks so much Giovanna.. This actually did make me feel better, I got my hopes up from now on! :) ... Am happy and appreciative for your response! Thanks again! (F)

I don't personally have experience with this, so please only take my comments as the opinion of a complete outsider.

I personally think that both the large age gap and the lack of photots are potentially big red flags.

I've heard people on this site often suggest that if you have a red flag, such as a large age gap, then you should provide extra proof to show a bonafide marriage, such as a lot of photos.

It's good that he has traveled to see you so many times, but without the photographic evidence of the two of you together, all you can really prove is that he traveled to your country.

Perhaps you have other types of evidence to convince the CO of bonafide marriage without the pictures?

Thanks so much for your response, much appreciated! I really regret not taking any pics with him, I am just not a picture person so I just did not think about it, I don't even have pics with just me thats how much I hate taking pics, now I am in regret :(.. "It's good that he has traveled to see you so many times, but without the photographic evidence of the two of you together, all you can really prove is that he traveled to your country" <<<<< This is so,so true. Why didn't we just think? All we have are records of his visits here, wedding photos (private wedding though). We've had loads of email conversations from since we met and "silly me" deleted them all without thinking. He also calls me every other night since we met in 2009 but he uses calling cards so not able to get call records.

Does he still have copies of the emails? Maybe you two discussed the trips and the things that you did together in those emails?

I don't think he does.. We just didn't think but I know we got to just accept this and face up to reality...

Not at all. Since he visits her every3 months, I assume the reason they don't have pictures together is because there is no camera available. On his next visit with the new camera they can take hundreds of pictures and then they will have proof of this legit marriage,

I think you were getting your digs in. So, yeah it kind of was uncalled for.

Photos are good secondary evidence, but in all honesty, good primary evidence proves to the IO that a couple is bonafide. Evidence that puts two individuals in the same places at the same time, together as a couple. Travel plans, receipts. Signed affidavits from family and friends. Kally honey, the good news is, you say you're close to the interview stage, so you've done well so far, right? Just make sure you arm yourself with a good mix of primary and secondary evidence, organize it neatly in a folder, and the IO will go over it with you at your interview. And keep having those good conversations with your husband. The more you know your spouse, the better you'll be at convincing your IO that you are in it for love and not for immigration. Good luck, and I'll be cheering you on. x

Now this is great, you just made my day! You are absolutely right, we have done well so far so this should give me a little hope.. I'll do just as you suggested with the evidence we'll put together and we'll keep our fingers crossed :) Thanks for the support and I do appreciate your response (F)

So given the age of your husband, is he retired?

If so, he could move down there with you at least through the process of a visa. I would definitely consider retiring to Ja. one of my favorite islands!

Finished!

Yes it will. A 47 year age gap is a BIG red flag. SUPER BIG, even for Jamaica. Like others have said, make sure you have your ducks in a row to help overcome that.

:(.. Its really tight I guess.. Thanks much for your response, much appreciated!
