Hello all, just waiting for my I-864 package from NVC, so getting everything ready. I've read a couple of posts about proving domicile (my wife is petitioning me but she lives with me in Canada)...question is do I send that into NVC with all her income/assets documentation or just bring with me to the interview?

Thanks!

She can send proof of re-establishing domicile with the AOS package and also you should bring it to the interview.

Thanks! And I see that you've submitted yours to NVC already: when you get the I-864 "package" from NVC, does it include a personal I-864 or can I pull one from the USCIS (which they just updated and changed) and fill that out?

I downloaded the forms from the USCIS website. We used the I-864EZ because we didn't need a joint sponsor or assets. (My husband lives in the USA.)

I've never, ever, heard of this.

Why are you waiting on something FROM NVC ?

I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html

General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

"If you have received notification from the NVC to complete an Affidavit of Support for a family-member or an employee to become a legal immigrant to the US, please refer to the Affidavit of Support Instructions."

- this is what I meant...that's what I'm waiting on from NVC...am I mis-understanding the above excerpt from the travel.state.gov website?
