How do you guys cope? My interview is in 2 weeks. I have nothing to hide, no dodgy history, but occasionally freak out a little at the thought of being denied for some technicality I have overlooked or was unaware of.

Some days I feel fine but there are moments where I feel like I'm about to be wheeled into surgery!

I keep thinking of a million other things I could add to the documents I am taking with me. More photos? More emails? We have know each other for 9 years, married for over a year. I love him and miss him so much. I guess now that we are nearing the end of the process, I cannot bear the thought of a denial this close to the finishing line.

Interview date: May 2, 2013
POE: May 2013

You have known each other for 9 years and obviously have proof of ongoing relationship, why worry? Savor those moments, that you and your husband have gone through all these troubles and are still together. The officer on interview will see this as well. Think of why you love the man you married and the officer will see this too.

Good luck to both of you!

Sincerely,

Kate

Don't make up stuff to be worried about. I bet your interview will be anticlimactic.

As my therapist says, if you're going to make up a version of future events, why not make up a version you like? Imagine yourself smiling and confident and the interviewer smiling back and saying "I've decided to approve your visa." :)

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

Thanks. You have a therapist? Very Hollywood!

In all seriousness, I hope you're okay and that you get to your finishing line very soon.
