Sadly as I reach 7 months I feel bad for those who are even waiting beyond the 7 month window. I was hopeful that there would be more approvals from July and August but not seeing any. My I129F WhiteHouse petition seems to be barely muddling along which is also sad as it presented a way to bring this topic to National attention.

Even the 5 Senators/Congressmen I have contacted seem mute on the issue. Absolutely amazing that this country can treat legal immigration processes and it's own citizens with such callous disregard.

just in case momentum can be re-established the above link is for the WhiteHouse Petition

Be patience. We've been waiting for 7months and 5 days. Just believe it will come soon :) My husband (not legaly, we married on the cruise ship with a port shopping ambassador as our priest), he said that he tried to talk with Senator Baldwin or something, just pray and hope they will make their move on visa application who had waited for so long like us :)

The problem with the petition is that even if every person on here signed it we only represent 5% of the total number of people who have applications pending with USCIS. If they take in 2000 total petitions a month that means you needs ALOT of outside people to sign it. You need the general public to be the ones who care about this as well. Media coverage or something big to bring it to the attention of people outside of VJ.

Approx 2000 I129F petitions a month received. Lets say to over estimated that 9 months worth of people are still waiting for NOA2, so total is 18,000 petitions. 5% of those are VJ members so 900. That leaves the goal of 100,000 signatures looking a long way off.

I'm not try to be negative, just realistic that you need 99% of signatures to come from people other than members and that's daunting.

Yes, we would want to write a petition that someone who is unfamiliar with k1s and even immigration would see the petition and say "yeah, I'll sign this".

I agree it is a daunting and seemingly impossible task; however, most people these days have Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as extended families. The more they network the more the word gets out. I have personally posted it on several other immigration forum sites also. Hopefully it will get enough signatures where the news media can be brought into the picture.

Also this doesn't just have to be signed by I129F petitioners but anyone who visits the VJ website or who has experienced the process, even those who have already been approved.

I agree in hindsight it could have been much clearer, however with all the news now on the New Immigration proposals not so sure it would not be confused or confuse the issue.

I keep blogging all the news postings also.

If someone were to post another petition addressing mandatory processing times on legal immigration venues, such as the 5 month or less standard USCIS has for I129F petitions, I would be happy to sign. The issue should be to make this process a mandatory timely process so people do not have to repeat what is happening now.
