Response from Senator Fienstein's Office

I just got off the phone with my case manager and was repeated the same stock responses that the USCIS gives you. She told me that they contacted the director of the CSC and were told that they were experiencing a high volume load and are still processing petitions before July 18. Of course, it's all bull and I called her out on it. She got defensive, told me to call in a month and said if things don't change, they'll explore other options. I asked her what those options were if things don't change, and she began telling me that neither of us could speculate on what CSC will say in a month. I said I wasn't speculating what they were going to say, but asking that in the chance that they do say that nothing has changed, what she was going to do. She was uninformative, avoided giving any real answers and repeated the same old script. She basically spent 15 minutes repeating herself, telling me that there was nothing more the office could do, that they have been receiving similar requests, that they spoke to the CSC director last week, and that they walked away knowing nothing more than we do.

I am planning to call them every other day until they realize that sorting the CSC situation out is of less hassle than having to deal with me on the phone.

That sucks....I guess contacting the senators are going to be put on a low priority for me. Useless pawns of the executive branch.

I've yet to hear from Boxer's and my congressman's offices. We'll see what they say, but I'm not expecting any different. I now understand what drives supposed crazy people to taking matters into their own hands with the government, like that guy who flew his plane into the IRS building.
