I also submitted just the basics...seriously we can't be blamed...the I-130 form makes the additional stuff sound optional...it says something like "recommended". That is not the same as "required". If they want it up front they should adjust the wording.

However, I too am worried, even though everyone is saying "just wait, if they want more they'll give you RFE"...that OP a few pages back said she got a letter of intent to deny her I-130 for lack of bona fide marriage....NOT an RFE. Or is the letter the same as an RFE...I'm assuming since its "intent to deny" there must be some sort of opportunity to reply?

What to do.got letter of intent to deny. My I 130 petition.say not enough evidence of bona fide marriage.i sent 2 affidavits swearing of our marriage

So what is it? They deny out right sometimes and send RFE others? I'm so sick of playing at the Casino USCIS. None of their games have any set rules and we NEVER get to see the cards their holding.

Man, everybody seems to be getting transfered just a "few good men" remain hanging in.... Apr 10 noa1 .... Not a word yet.... Getting more anxious by the day, didnt't think that was even possible, feel like suing them for emotional distress... :s

I too sent volumes of phone records, plane tickets, copies of all my passport stamps, photos of us ... In addition to all required docs. But i feel the same way, they are so subjective and u just can't tell what is going to be enough, there's only rules when it comes to us but not when they need to be held accountable... Ugh! Sorry for the rant. Just horrobly frustrated and missing my hubby. :(

Hey, I feel the same way as you.cray5ol.gif. What else we can do just waiting and waiting because they have family here so they don't even care. All they care is they should get paid and do shopping and let our family stay far away from us. They will do only if they feel to do it... I guess.mad.gif. I miss my wifecrying.gif

Guys, it is not the employees that are responsible, they do as told!

it is the entire system, it sucks! USCIS employees work just like all of us! I blame USCIS senior management!

11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

That's who I blame as well. Although, the fact that USCIS employees were collecting hours of overtime on a regular basis while they sat at their desk and look at Netflix makes me less generous to the employees as well.

If you expedite your case does that make the nvc part faster as well or just the uscis approval?

No. You need to file a separate expedite request for each stage.

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, no one can ever tear them apart.

We didn't send any additional evidence with the I-130 forms. We just sent:

1. The required forms and passport sized pics

2. A copy of original marriage certificate (in Urdu),

3. A translated copy of the marriage certificate in English

4. Affidavits of 2 people attesting to having attended our wedding ceremony

Now reading about people sending wedding album pics, Skype/ IM chatlogs, etc. is scaring me. I thought that was only required at the NVC/ interview stage.

Can we/ Should we send the additional evidence now?

Somebody please help. I'm freaking out!

I think that should be good, that is what I sent it. I also sent a few pictures though.

Dear Stakeholder,

We in U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are deeply saddened by the effects of the typhoon that struck the Philippines on November 8, 2013. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this tragedy.

We have taken steps to provide relief to victims of the typhoon. Filipino nationals in the United States should visit the home page of our website to learn about a series of existing relief measures that may be available to them. In addition, we are proactively identifying and expediting pending petitions for alien relatives, the Form I-130, that have been filed by U.S. Citizens for their Filipino immediate relatives. Our standard security checks remain in place.

A Form I-130 petitioner can check his or her case status online at www.uscis.gov or by contacting the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TDD assistance). In addition, a petitioner can sign up to receive automatic case status updates by e-mail as one’s case is processed. If one has filed a Form I-130 and received a request for evidence or any other type of communication from USCIS, one should read the notice carefully to ensure that one responds to the same USCIS Service Center that sent the notice.

Members of Congress and members of the community have requested that the Philippines receive a designation of Temporary Protected Status, commonly known as “TPS.” The Department of Homeland Security, along with other federal agencies, is reviewing these requests, the conditions in the Philippines, and other relevant factors in assessing whether a TPS designation is warranted.

We are monitoring the situation closely and actively considering what additional measures we can take to assist and support individuals affected by the tragedy.

Kind Regards,

USCIS Public Engagement Division
