Please help me complete Part 8, Section G:

My information is as follows: I'm a female. I've been married once, which is to my current spous, a male.

My spouse, the USC, was married before.

1. Section G asks, 'HOW MANY TIMES HAS YOUR CURRENT SPOUSE BEEN MARRIED? What do I put here? 1 for the previous marriage? or 2 counting the previous marriage AND OUR marriage?

2. Section G 2 asks, If your spouse has ever been married before, give the following information about your spouse's prior marriage.

My question is, what goes here?? MY Spouse's information? Like his name etc? or Does his PREVIOUS WIFE'S information go here?

Thanks.

If the spouse has been married twice then you put 2

If they were previously married, you put the previous spouses information.

In section G you put down any previous marriages as well as your current one. Section G2 you put all his previous wife's info and how many times he was married etc..

This is why that N-400 is just like a combination of our AOS and ROC stages. The total number of marriages of your spouse including your own marriage to him. Then they want to see his divorce papers, again to prove again he was free to marry you, then your marriage certificate again to prove you are married to him. And also proof he is a US citizen.

Assume you are applying for the three year marriage privilege. Still have to put this information down for the five year, but don't have to bring in all this proof, again. Guess they forgot about everything they put us through at the AOS stage. Wife would have never received her conditional green card without it, then the same proof again for removal of conditions.

She told me she saw her file, was over 3 inches thick, but the same old stuff three times in a roll.

so if me and my wife are married only once to each other. then section G will have answer as 1 or blank.???

and no need to put g1/g2 correct?

can someone please confirm this with high priority.

Don't want to hijack the thread but I put "0" in Section G (I am applying for 3 year citizenship through marriage to USC and just sent it off on 4/8/13)

I just "assumed" (uh-oh) given the previous questions about our current marriage and the questions immediately following the 1st question that 0 was the correct answer as my wife was not previously married before our marriage.

Basically did I just lose $680 or can this be amended or explained at the interview?
