We received a denial at the Embassy last year in Nigeria.

Afterwards we got married and I already have our approved I-130 petition on the way to NVC and now this.

SoO I was expecting this to occur. WIll I be getting an official letter in the mail on what the next steps are? What should I be preparing for?

I'm sure other more experienced folks will chime in, but If I'm reading correctly, you were denied the fiancee visa at the Embasy (State Department) and they sent your application back to USCIS to be reviewed (assuming to look for any sign of fraud). You decided at this point to marry and file for the Spouse Visa, and that one is currently pending. You now have notification that USCIS is reviewing your original fiance visa application. In My Opinion, the petitioner will need to contact USCIS and withdraw the fiancee visa as being married, you no longer qualify.

I have no idea how this affects your current spousal application, but I know you can't qualify for the K-1 if you are now married.

We got a letter stating our petition had expired. They never addressed the possible revocation issue, etc. We were advised in the letter that we could refile. Hope that hopes.

We received the same letter while back when they sent our K1 petition back. Then a letter stating that our petition had expired and gave us the option to refile another K1.

Now you are married and you have filed a CR1. This will be the petition they will recognize. Good luck Gowon. We are on the same boat and traveling the same direction....

Hello VJ folks.

So the letter came, I attached it.

So does this mean that there is no "fraud marker" in the file and we're still good to go?

I've read Mr. Ellis thesis but still a wee bit confused about this fraud marker thingie.
