I wonder is a class action lawsuit would draw the needed attention to our plight with CSC, and the USCIS? When you think about it, they are affecting the wellbeing of our respective family units. Pain and suffering, etc.

Any thoughts?

Who are they? They probably had nothing to do with the fact that decisions were made that included meeting people from outside the USA nor the fact that many USC's know little to nothing about the immigration laws or process.

Run it by an actual lawyer first. We'll go from there.

I thought about this a few weeks ago, but I'm skeptical. I think regardless of outcome the lawyer would end up w/ most of the money.

That goes without saying. It was just a thought anyway. Anything to expose the USCIS and CSC in particular and hold them accountable.

What would you hold them accountable for? They're just doing their jobs. They can't help it if the numbers of immigrants that they process per year has them overwhelmed. Everyone knows, or should know, that the process takes time. If a person doesn't like it they are not forced to participate.

Now that you calmed down a bit and started thinking more about it: It would be a silly thing to do. Be patient... I know that don't easy right now but try.

There are "Estimated" periods for USCIS to Approve or Dis-Approve or request other documents, etc. etc. : but they are not legally required to meet that estimate. You are in a bucket of thousands of Petitions. In your case: your time-line indicates NO RFE(s). BE GLAD FOR THAT. A money hungry Lawyer would take your money (retainer) and the first thing he would do after partying he found a sucker would be contact your Congressman and put in a Service Request. That money hungry Lawyer after acting like he did something for you after a period of time would write or call you and give you an Update.. In the meantime, you already may have recieved your NOA2 but, you are bound by the payment to your Lawyer for doing absolutely Nothing you could have done by yourself by being alittle more patient.

I had 2 RFE's and it took about 6 months for the NOA2. But, remember every year, their caseload etc makes everything vary in processing.

AVOID making a Wave with USCIS or CSC. Thats like going to a Casino with no money. There are cases of Lawsuits against USCIS and a money hungry Attorney. Google that and see. But, again in your case/timeline you have: Your FINE for now. If you were going to get a RFE it would have came by now. CHILL...

Thank you for your comment. I see the whole process for you took 90 days? I'm 180 into it now, and I'm a rookie. There are some here that have waited well over 200 days and longer. This is what I'm talking about. The K visa process was put in place to shorten the time we are spent apart from our loved ones. I'm just spitballing ideas to get the ball rolling. I am in no way talking down your short wait time. It's awesome that you were able to get it done so quickly. I only wish that could have happened in my case and others who are still waiting.

Not really. CSC isn't processing period, they haven't been giving out many rfe's as well.

Yep. That is the wonderful part of this... you could sit around and wait 8 or 9 months, only to be told that they want something else... something you could have given them months ago.

True story. I have read countless rfe stories from folks that have already had their petition pending for months at CSC.

The visa process is broken. There is no leadership and no accountability. There has been other things broken in this country and if everyone just sits around and takes it, nothing will ever change. Just like everything else, we need a leader that will lead us to change this terrible process. Married October 16, 2010 and still waiting to get a visa for my husband.

If the Immigration Department had a great leader, you would see visa petitions being processed faster than ever before. When the workload gets heavier, the production speeds up, it doesn't slow down.
