Mornin everyone!

Can anyone confirm the number of passport pictures we need to get for the NVC (or is it the Embassy?!), please?

Im in the States right now visiting my husband and seeing that the US passport picture format are so expensive in France, I want to make the most of it and get them done here.

Do my children also need some?

Also, I just realised that I had a drastic haircut since the pictures I sent to USCIS (went from long to short hair), could this be a problem?

They don't have to be professional passport photos, just photos that are the same size/likeness.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Here is another question which I posted yesterday, can anyone reply to it?

Hey,

I have a quick question.

We still haven't got our case or IIN numbers but I'm thinking we will get them by Monday (according to my calculations).

We have 3 applications goin on, one for my daughter, one for my son and one for myself.

Will we get 3 IINs and 3 case numbers?

Also, will we have to fill in 3 DS 3032s,3 DS230s and so on?

Thanks for your help!

Hey all,

Just wondering is it true that interviews are only scheduled during the second week of a month and if you don't get scheduled then you have to wait for the following month? Or is that a bunch of baloney?

Cat

Please review the FAQ, near the bottom ;)

Hi good day! Thanks God! A lady from Usem called lately that my daughter's crba was approved last April 12!!! :-D Now we're back on the track. Sending the AOS & IV packets. Do you think we can still get the end of May interview?? #hoping&praying... :-)

I think at this point, you'd be lucky to get late May. It'll be more likely for a June interview.

[...]

Talk about TURBO smoking fast  . They didn't even give you a window for medical exam yikes.

They received the date on April 1st, not that the actual interview was on the 1st.

Two passport photos are needed for the IV package at NVC, per person.

This is why they want pictures along the way, in case there's hair changes. I went from brown to pink hair during my process, no issues ;)

Thanks Saylin and Readerschoice.

Does this mean I will have to send 3 emails for the choice of agents as soon as I get our case numbers?

Can I be the agent for my children?

Adding 'Supervisor Review' in front of the DS-3032 email works wonders! Got the acceptance email within the hour! :D

excellent. I sorta discovered this trick mid-year, last year, and it does work wonders !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I just got off the phone with an agent at NVC. He says that they are processing e-mails (that is, the ones that don't say Supervisor Review) from April 3rd or before. My husband sent in his choice of agent e-mail on the 8th, so right now we are in normal processing times. I don't want to use the Supervisor Review trick unless we need it because it seems like line-jumping when other people have really been waiting too long.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Same response time as the original package, so 1-2 weeks.

Thanks Saylin and Readerschoice.

Yes, 3 DS-3032 emails. I'd suggest electing the petitioner for all three. I'm not sure you can have yourself as agent for your children.

good.gif I wouldn't suggest using Supervisor Review unless it's been 2 weeks or more since sending the DS-3032, or if it's for expedite/emergency reasons.

Speedwell, I'm totally AGREED 101% with you on this one. It took me exactly 2 weeks to get a reply and an acceptance notices of DS3032 from NVC via Email in order for IV invoice to kick in. I solely think " supervisor review " should only be use in case of emergency or case with difficulty otherwise it just like cutting in line.
