Hi German fellows

we got our NOA2 finally. To avoid any delays from my side I like to prepare as much as possible before I receive package 3.

Is it possible to do my medical now or do I have to wait for the NVC case number?

Can I request the police certificate now? I expect to have the interview in approx. 3 months.

Beside the € 180 fee, are there additional charges?

Thanks for all the replies in advance :)

Hey!

I tought I'd finally register here to answer your question since I recently sent my Pack 3 to Frankfurt. It took exactly one month after receiving NOA 2 via E-mail until i had Pack 3 in my mailbox. It's actually not a pack anymore. Just one page that states your new case number and the link to the consulate in Frankfurt, where you are supposed to download all documents and the checklist. So you can already go ahead and fill them all out. You will find them in the immigrant visa section.

I was told that I need to bring the new case number to the medical by the doctor's office. Haven't been there yet. You could always call the NVC and ask for the new case number.

Apart from the 180€ fee I'm not aware of anything else that needs to be paid at the moment.

It took me 4 days to receive the Führungszeugnis after applying. When ever I needed it for an employer before it was good for 6 month. So i guess it would be okay to order it now.

Grüße
