Do I really need a letter from an officer at my bank stating: When I opened the account, how much was deposited last year, and my current balance? It's not a problem, but I was just planning on submitting screenshots of my online bank statement. Obviously, I'm also submitting original paystubs and a letter from my employer as well.

Also, it appears that I don't need to show my taxes from last year? The instructions say nothing about it unless you are self employed...I may include a copy of what TurboTax sent me just in case...

Any thoughts or advice? I'm sending this off to my fiancee today or tomorrow at the latest.

You only need a letter from the bank if you are trying to use savings as your proof of support. We didn't even include any screen shots of bank account at all.

If your income is over the requirements then you do not need to provide any bank information at all, just your income information, pay stubs, 3 years tax returns, letter from employer ( optional ) etc. Most embassys follow the guides for the 864 do not forget. So you will want 3 years of tax returns.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I see no requirement for tax returns at all. I lived out of the country the year before and didn't work before that as I was in school. I'm just sending my return for 2012 and it will just have to do I guess

US citizens are still required to file taxes even if they are not living in the usa.

The instructions request 3 years of tax returns. You need to read the 864 instructions.

why file taxes if you don't have a job...and why read instructions for the 864 if they require the i-134? Instructions for the i-134 state nothing about tax returns unless you are self employed. Guess i'll just see how it goes Thanks though

You only need the most recent tax transcript, so 2012 alone is fine. You should still read the I-864 instructions though because most consulates use those guidelines, even with the I-134 for a K-1. This is because they know someone entering on a K-1 will be needing the I-864 when they file for AOS. The K-1 is a unique visa in that it is technically a non-immigrant visa but is typically treated as an immigrant visa by the consulates because someone entering the US with one has immigrant intentions.

Yeah, after talking to my dad, he said I'd just need to state that the 2 years prior to 2012 I had no taxable income as far as the 684 goes. I'll go ahead and get started on that. Since no hard copies seem to be necesary for the I-134 other than the form itself, I'll go ahead and send that to my fiancee in Spain along with the letter from my employer and recent paystubs...and I guess the copy of the I-129F that I sent to the USCIS while I'm at...and get a copy from the IRS. Should be arrive in the mail in time for me to scan it and email to her before her interview...

man we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel...

thanks for all the advice
