Hi all.

I had my interview on thursday 9th, and I recevied my Visa in the mail today. (15th)

A couple of leaflets, a big brown envelope for the imigration/passport man, and my passport with a visa in it, ready for stamping.

It took longer than I thought to arrive! So dont book a flight till you get it in hand! I did lol, but made me worry so much I wouldnt advise it!

I am booked to fly on the 18th, am all packed and ready to go, I have SOOO much luggage, cant bear to leave any clothes!

Good luck to eveyone else, wil let you know when I am state side!

Weddings on the 1st December.

Congratulations!

It must be a nightmare with the packing - I can't fit all my things for our month-long vacation into two cases so I don't envy you!! Wishing you a smooth journey and POE and a very happy Wedding!!!

~Candace

Edited to add: Bless you, you were so excited you really cocked up the title!! :)

I am so pleased that it all worked out for you time wise. You can now smile smugly at all those cynics on here who told you that you had no chance of getting your visa in time for your wedding!

I'm just looking at flights at the moment. Did you see any good deals? If you are taking lots of clothes, are you over your luggage allowance and if so, how much are you being quoted for the excess if you don't mind me asking?

Just trying to work out whether to ship everything or take some stuff with me and pay the excess.

Bon Voyage

Sam

Thanks Everyone! I am so excited, and I tried to edit the title and it wouldn't let me lol!

I am flying out with my sister, so I am sharing her luggage allowance, I have 3 BIG cases, 1 full hand luggage, my wedding dress is my sisters hand luggage, and I have given a small case to my friend Emma. I am taking everything! clothes wise anyway.....

I already shipped 8 T chest size box's. It was with excessbaggage.com they pick it up and drop it off, they also supply box's and tape. It was £500 to ship and £300 to insure. Thats from Brighton to Cincinnati Ohio.

Good luck to those behind me! See you state side for AOS! (after a nice wedding and honeymoon!)

I really cant believe I received my visa in the nick of time, by the skin of my teeth! Things always seem to work out for me, I have a lot of family and friends praying all the time!

Love Claire xx
