Ok as you can see from my timeline, I have both on my petitions going and I guess I am suppose to decide which one I really want to go with. Is one going to cancel out the other? Since my Cr1 is going fast it seems to me do I continue with that one and abandon the I-129f. I want my husnamd with me as soon as possible as everyone else does.

I guess I am suppose to feel really happy but I feel like crying and so confused. What am I suppose to do? I have no clue. Do I send in the $380.00 tomorrow and if I do will it get voided because of the I-129f? I have the paperwork ready to send in for the I-130, he sent it DHL to me and I have the supprt information.

I feel like i am going to lose my mind. :help:

Ok, first of all, don't go insane

You don't have to decide which one you want unless you do nothing now with the I-130 and wait around for the K-3 NOA2. Thus, you've decided to pursue to the K-3. Otherwise, send in that money and start the NVC process. It's usually 90 days without RFE's before it heads to the consulate.

Just because you are pursuing the I-130 does not mean you are abandoning the K-3. Although some have noted here that an approved I-130 invalidates the K-3, the K-3 may be approved and continue to be processed, nonetheless.

FYI, sometimes both the K-3 and I-130 make it to the consulate at the same time. At that time you can decide to inform the consulate you want to interview for one or the other. Now is not that time.

Thank you so much I appreciate this information. I know I am always asking questions as I am unsure and I hear that one will void out the other and then I was wondering why would I send in the money if it is not going to help complete part of the process.

I think I was originally under the impression that the K-3 would go so much faster and the Cr-1 would take so much more time and mabe that was true in the past but The National Visa Center had both of my approved petitions at the same time and is continuing to work on them both so I was really getting confused.

Thanks again

Oops :bonk: Didn't see that your 129F was approved. Forget everything I said. Now that the K-3 is approved, it should only be at NVC for a few weeks then off to the consulate. The I-130 will need to go through NVC for a few months. If you want to pursue the GC(i.e. CR-1 route), and avoid AOS, then inform the consulate after they schedule the K-3 interview. Otherwise, go to the the K-3 interview. I'd wait for the I-130 since I know it's only a few months behind the K-3, but it's your choice.
