Mi caso fue pasado a la embajada en Caracas el 20 de noviembre. Mi entrevista es el 12 de enero :) El próximo jueves (10 de diciembre) tengo mi examen médico :) Por fin se ve la luz al final del túnel :D:D:D

We are still hooked in with Venezuela, trying to get my step son out of there and liquidate my wife's property, the latter is a joke. But shouldn't these threads be in English? Wife and step-daughter had to learn English very well and so will you if you want to pass the USC English test. Now is the time to practice.

All of my computer software, especially the diagnostic type are in English, the Spanish versions use different file names for the same stuff and my diagnostic software is worthless. So that was a start to learning English quickly, especially for my step daughter so she could chat with her friends. Today, she is in college taking English literature courses and doing very well, unfortunately in high school learned all the English cuss words first, still trying to break her from that.

Those of us who came here very often to post did so in Spanish because we are all Venezuelans. Every time someone came and asked us something in English we would gladly explain the system to them as much as possible to the best of our knowledge.

This thread was originally opened for partners/wives/husbands of Americans, that is why it has always been in Spanish.

FYI - All of us that wrote constantly in here more than a year ago, are FLUENT in English and did not see the need for practicing it here.

Thanks for your input.

Porfa?? :)

I feel like there's no one filing for a Fiance Visa from Venezuela. Either that or the members just aren't that actice. But that's how we learn from one another!! So we should share our experiences and fill out a review of the consulte!! Please?? :)

Not sure what's going on in Venezuela in this respect, while a consulate is like a sub-embassy, the US Embassy in Caracas has been without an ambassador since July of this year. A Mr. Palmer was selected, yet not approved by Congress, but Chavez already stated he would not let him in the country. Will feel since the embassy is in charge of the consulates, problems are there because of lack of leadership.

Seems like the relations between the USA and Venezuela are badly deteriorating. But these are our governments that can't seem to get along. Have both in-laws, friends, and a stepson in Venezuela, they are friends and family, and we can get along just fine. But at the same time, we are the ones that have to pay a heavy price if our governments can't get along.

Not even implying who is right or wrong on this issue, just wish they could get along.

With Hugo preventing our US ambassador to enter Venezuela, and in turn, our government kicking out the Venezuelan ambassador, one can only wonder what will happen next!

Hola gente, long time no see ;-)

I just posted this on the N-400 forum. I wanted to put it here too :-P

What do you guys think?

Hello,

I am getting ready to file the N-400 and I just need to make sure I am including what is necessary.

The documents required for the section "Documents referring to you and your spouse" are:

4. Documents referring to you and your spouse:

a. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children; or

b. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past 3 years; or

c. An IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years.

It clearly states OR, so if I send them OUR copies of the tax returs + bank accounts + mortgage + birth certificates of children [we have twins ;-) ], then I DO NOT really need to send the "certified" tax returns, do I?

What do people here think?

Thanks!

David

PD: I actually understand it is not a big deal to ask for those certified copies, but if it says OR.... why sending them?

This is the reply I got from YuAndAn... Return Transcripts are very easy to get online and you get them in the mail within 5 days.

I guess I will just send those and some other docs just in case, like the marriage cert and birth certificates.
