HELP!!!! I'd booked my medical around a month ago and have been in contact with my doctor about vaccinations etc (as I informed them I'll need them updated for my medical) They gave me a photocopy of my vaccination records, however I got my MMR and tetnus updated about a week ago. (This information won't be on the paper records I have, although she did give me a little booklet with the vaccinations, the date they were given and her signature-all written)

I just called the doctor today to ask for a copy of my updated vaccinations and the (very rude) woman informed me that they have sent away ALL their paper records and don't have anyones records in the computer because they are changing from paper to computer based. (I.e. Apparenly they don't have ANYTHING abut my vaccinations that I can get a hold off, other than what I've already got!!) I am SOOO mad because throughout this whole process I told them I needed them and they've now sent them away and she's told me it will be 2-3 weeks before they are back! (My medical is a week today)

Is the photocopy of my records plus the booklet with the two new vaccinations (signed by the nurse) going to be enough??? I am panicking!!

This should be enough. I had those little cards with my new vaccinations listed also and that was fine. I don't think originals are necessary of the other records, you have a copy so that is good. Did you contact the doctor's office where you will be having the exam?

Don't worry! The stuff you have should be enough but if you want to be doubly sure, ask them to type a letter for you. It might cost £15 or so but your doctor should be able to help. Speak to him and not the cow on reception. If it is signed by the nurse though, there shouldn't be any problems. Does the booklet have the practice details if they want to double check?

Worst case scenario, and I really don't think they will insist on this but they can administer vaccinations on the day.

Everything's going to be ok. Just keep swimming! :)

I only took a photocopy of my vaccination records, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

As mentioned above, you can always have them give you the vaccination if anything is missing.

Good Luck
