Biometrics - Hammond Indiana

I haven't posted on the boards here for awhile, but thought i'd post my experience today in Hammond, IN

for anyone else heading in that direction at some point.

I went in for biometrics for the I-751, it was easy as pie. We weren't in there any more than 5 minutes.

When security unlocked the door, we piled in, were given a clipboard to fill out our information, which was

only one page long, walked to the front and went right up for the print and picture. They stamped

the appointment letter, gave it back to me and out the door we went.....

The people there were great, definitely a much more relaxed atmosphere than what I had expected. I

have always dealt with the one in Indianapolis and this was quite different from that!!

The building is located behind an old department store that is empty (looks like it might have been an old Lowe's or Walmart, something like that). It was still a pretty easy in and out just following the uscis website directions there.

Probably the most frustrating thing about the day was the two hour drive there for a 5 minute appointment,

but i really shouldn't complain, as we are used to driving to Indianapolis which is 3 hours for us, so this

definitely worked in our favor!

Good luck to everyone going through the process!!

Hope this helps someone out.

So you have to do biometrics again?

My wife did it before her conditional interview. I've been out of the game for awhile so...I need to learn what we have to do next.

"So you have to do biometrics again?"

I've read where some people haven't had to, but i guess i wasn't one of those lucky ones. All in all

this really was an easy part of the process, i really didn't worry too much about it at all. The forms

for the I-751 were very easy to get through and after mailing them off i waited just a couple of weeks before

I received the notice to go for biometrics. It seemed pretty painless in comparison to all of the other

paperwork i've had to fill out before....

Good luck!!
