Hi everyone :D I'm new to this site and would like to know if anyone could help me with the whole K-1 processing time. I sent my K-1 packet on Feb. 27th 2013. They sent me my NOA1 on March 1st.

I am currently 4 1/2 months pregnant and was wondering if there is anyway I could make the process any faster. My fiance is in the Philippines. I'm alone here in New York and I'm having trouble going to all my check-ups alone. All my hormonal imbalances have made me kind of emotional lately, and it's been rough being away from my fiance and being pregnant for the first time. :(

If anyone has any information on roughly how long I have to wait or if there is anything I could do to speed the process it would be really appreciated. (L)

Have a great day everyone and thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the reply :) Hopefully it is quicker. Being pregnant and away from your partner is tough..

I'm afraid that your pregnancy status alone is enough to qualify for your case to be expedited.

Try to get or reach out to any of your close relatives or friends for some support.

Good luck on your visa and pregnancy journey! :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy  Unfortunately, there isn't really anything that you can do to speed up this process. Try not to worry to much or stress yourself out too much, that would not be good for you or your little baby. Trust me, I know that it is so difficult to be away from your fiance. The time does move by pretty quick. Hang in there and good luck to you guys

I Looooooove my baby Lyn.

Unfortunately, it's very unlikely he will be there when you give birth. The U.S. has very strict immigration, and the processes take a long time. It ends up keeping families apart, and causing a lot of stress for a lot of people. If you got the NOA1 on March 1st, I would say that the most reasonable expectation is for your fiance to arrive in the U.S. early next year. Sometimes it happens faster, but there is the NOA2, the NVC, then the scheduling of the interview, which, depending on country, can be several months after the NOA2, and finally, the visa.

I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly for you.

What would Xenu do?

i've been waiting for 5 months already, we filed when i was 6 weeks pregnant. you should've filed it earlier maybe you'll have a higher chance since VSC is working faster now. there's no chance to expedite it esp youre the USC and you have all the best of care you will ever need in there(not that sure.) sad to say, emotional stress has no way to make k1 faster as i believe it's normal for pregnant women and everyone in this waiting game is going thru that. but who knows you might get lucky.

congrats and Good luck

It couldn't hurt for you to file for expedite. I'm not pregnant or a woman, but I imagine if I was I would file for it in your shoes. It can't really hurt. You may want to get a lawyer for that, and a good one.

I hope so too and thankyou. :)

Does getting a lawyer make anything faster? Or is it just extra cost?

I was thinking about getting a lawyer for that, but since I called and asked they said they could try and I would have to get back in 5days, but thankyou :)
