Is it a good idea to attach a separate letter in packet

Hello guys,

When filing for the I-751, I was wonder if it would be a good idea to explain my ENTIRE situation on a separate sheet of paper. For example why I am living with my parents and why my wife has not yet obtained her drivers license?

I am thinking it would be good to explain but I want to double check with you guys.

Thanks!

if your wife has a state id, she doesn't need a DL. as long has both of your STATE ID has the same address. please show what kind of evidence that you are going to send with your 1-751 package. vj members can help you with your questions. good luck to you.

Looks good - yes, explain your situation (staying with your parents) in the cover letter. Also spread the bank statements accross the full period.

I don't think it's necessary to go into an explanation of things they probably don't care about. You have good evidence of your on-going relationship. That's enough. Don't complicate things.

They care a lot about evidence of living together and this letter from parents is a major evidence. I personally think that mentioning the fact that you are living with your parents, in a sentence or two, in the cover letter is good, reasonable and doesn't complicate anything - rather it makes it clear for USCIS.

He has the sworn statement from the father, which IS a good idea. I didn't recommend against that. A separate letter talking about the things they DON'T have is overkill considering they have plenty of other evidence. If they had nothing that showed shared address or co-mingled finances, that would warrant explanation, and a simple letter would likely not make up for its lack. But they have those things, and they are the most important evidence as they are difficult to fake and are the most convincing evidence of a marital relationship. Living with parents and not having a driving license are not problematic - you don't have to explain your decision to live with your parents to USCIS. Evidence that you live together is good enough.

Here is what I wanted to attach:

Dear USCIS Examiner,

I am attaching this letter to better explain our situation. (wife) and I are happily married with a beautiful daughter who was born on (date). We currently reside with my parents at (address). I assist them with the monthly mortgage and bills, so this situation is beneficial for everyone financially.

(wife) quit her job at a daycare a few months after she got pregnant because she was not able to handle the physical requirements of the job. After our daughter was born we decided that it was best to focus on her upbringing rather than having (wife) return to work. (wife) and I have both decided that she will return to work later in the year (or next year) when (daughter) is older.

(wife) plans on getting her driver’s license soon. She has not yet acquired it because it was put on hold when she got pregnant and because we do not currently have an extra car.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time at the numbers listed below.

Thank You

Keep it simple, it is not a requirement to work or have a DL, Although is is much easier to have it or a state ID to travel in the US ( fly/train), you don't have to use your passport as much.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
