After four years, over 200,000 air miles between us, and the equivalent of weeks spent on the phone, my fiance' and I are just getting started with this process. I sent off the 129-F today. Applying to undergrad and grad schools was an easy feat compared to this process! All the gathering, double and triple checking, and dotting the i's so to speak took an incredible amount of time. This guy better be worth it! Just kidding. Thanks to everyone for the invaluable information that made the first hurdle as painless as possible.

July 2002 -- Met Keith on a train traveling (I chatted him up) from London up to Scotland while my friend and I were touring after graduation. He said when we made it up to Scotland to give him a call and he would be our guide in Edinburgh.

Couple days later in early August -- Met up with Keith in Edinburgh. He was the worst tour guide ever!!! He did know where the good pubs were, though. He showed us around for 3 days.

July 2002 - December 2002 -- Keith and I keep in touch e-mailing and talking on the phone

December 2002 -- Keith comes to visit for New Year's in NYC. We decide then to become "official" (or however you say it)

2003-2006 -- Dating and lots of travel (over 200,000 air miles between us)

November 2006 -- Proposal!

11/13/06 -- Mailed 129-f

11/15/06 -- NOA1

11/21/06 -- NOA2

Thank you everyone for the encouraging words! Oh, and yes, since this is even more difficult than applications to college, do we earn a degree after the whole process? I propose that a PhD in bureaucracy is definitely due our way.
