How accurate has Igor been with this??

How accurate has Igor been with this??

It's only an estimate, and it depends on how often others update their timelines.

FWIW, I received an approval on the front end of the estimate.

Not very accurate. Keep in mind 95% of filers from after July 18th are still waiting for their NOA2.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

It's only accurate if they are being processed in order. It only is taking the data of those that have been processed, not the ones waiting for theirs. When these back applications are finally being processed (whenever that happens?), that estimate is going to swing way forward.

It is as accurate as the data that is inputted by fellow forum members. Realize that it only includes forum members and not the much larger number of actual petition submissions to USCIS.

FWIW, our petition was approved one week after the estimated Igor date.

YMMV.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

No.

It is accurate for a small number who are approved, not for the majority. In this case, where CSC is processing only a portion of the cases (and out of order), these few "surprise" September cases are skewing the data. If the cases were actually processed in order (so the July 19, 20, 21, etc cases were being processed instead of late august, september cases), then the estimate would be more in the range of 7-8 months.

It was accurate for mine, mine was approved about a week before the "estimate". The data is an estimate based on others' data when timelines are updated. An expedited case might skew the data somewhat, but keep in mind that those who are on VJ are but a fraction of the actual cases that are actually received and processed. Igor's estimates are just a guide and should not be taken literally as every case is different.

For VSC it is relatively accurate. For CSC, not so much, for the reasons I gave before.

Again, it goes in cycles. When mine was being processed Vermont was at a snail's pace and California was processing in less than 3 months. It all evens out, but a watched pot never boils.
