Help please...Thai passport holder/Schengen Visa application

Hi there,

My husband is a Thai passport holder with a permanent residence green card (10year) and we are going to Spain and Portugal for a family vacation. Based on this information I believe he needs a Schengen visa, and an FBI background clearance. Does anyone know where I send the results of the background check to get the "apostille" required for the visa application?

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

ROC Timeline

18 NOV 2010 Sent 1.8lb packet to USCIS in Laguna Niguel (day 1)

19 NOV 2010 Package signed for V SEMEGI (day 2)

24 NOV 2010 Package returned because USC didn't sign petition (day 6)

calendar reset

26 NOV 2010 Package sent out again (day 1)

29 NOV 2010 Package signed for by V SEMEGI (day 3)

29 NOV 2010 NOA1 issued (day 3)

03 DEC 2010 Hardcopy of NOA received (day 7)

07 JAN 2011 Successful walk in biometrics (day 42) original date 1 FEB

01 MAR 2011 Date on Approval notice (although it arrived after the card did) (day 94)

03 MAR 2011 Card received (day 96)

Delta used to have a real nice web page for questions like this. Unfortunately, it seems they sold it to some visa service company which has made it unusable. However, it seems KLM has something very similar. According to their website, yes it looks like a Schengen visa is required. The FBI thing is news to me. Here's their website:

http://www.klm.com/t...ic/visaform.htm

ETA:

I did some more digging around. I can't find anything, anywhere about a background check.

Got it all sorted out, inconsistencies in what some agencies were noting on their websites. Finally got through to the Spanish Consulate (not very nice but did answer most of my q's) So no clearance required but they sure do want to know about your finances lol...will come back and post after he has his visa interview. thank you
