I thought grown men were paying about $180 USD for their medicals. Kids were supposedly cheaper. We sent the 2 kids to get their medicals done with $200 each. They said its $300 USD for each kid!!! $600 for medicals. Unbelievable!!!!

HUSBAND'S CASE

9/17/2011 - sent I-13

09/19/2011 - noa1 received

3/16/2012 - case sent to my local USCIS office for additional processing

4/21/2012 - AP. If we haven't heard from them in SIX MONTHS (omg) we can feel free to call them!!! Thanks!

9/20/2012 - Interview scheduled - October 3!!!!

10/3/2012 - Interview went well but she must look at his A-file more before decision.

10/12/2012 - I-130 APPROVED! APPROVED! APPROVED!

KIDS' CASES

04/20/2012: NOA107/20/2012: instead of an approval, we got thrown into AP. sigh

11/01/2012: Boys' I-130 interview set for November 28, 2012.

My husband went on Monday and it was $250. They told him to come back in a couple of weeks if he is still in the country to get MMR injection for another $50.

There was nothing abnormal about their medicals. I don't know why it was so high. :-(

Yes, there is only 2 approved clinics in Lagos, and they went to the Children's Practice. Yes, they got shots, but last I heard was that kids were cheaper than adults... I think we got screwed. I'm waiting to hear back from Ebun as she JUST went through this with her 2 kids at the Children's Practice. I just can't even believe!

don't know? that's what people have been reporting out of Nigeria. Maybe because they should already have many of the shots due to having to keep up with school standards?

I don't know. I know I have not heard of one person on here saying kids are 300USD!

Begs the question why would the charge be made in US Dollars. Shots are usually extra, if you need them. Maybe Country specific.

They aren't charging US Dollars...I just stated the amounts in US dollars so people who aren't familiar with Naira wouldn't have to do the conversion to see just how ridiculous this is. Even on the Embassy info guides on this website it says adults are about $180, children are less. Well, my children must be special as they are damn near double! awesome.

For Philippines, medical fees are (vaccines included):

for applicants 15 years and older - US $223

for applicants less than 15 years old - US $185

That sounds like it is higher than it should be and like they are trying to milk you. The doctors should charge the amount that the embassy told you they would. I know all the doctors here are required to.
