And if you spent $5 and do it while there and don't need them you are out what... $5 ?

Jeez! Lot of babbling about an ounce of prevention!

Preventing what exactly?

I make copies for less than a penny apiece in the comfort of my own home. :)

Regan, to sum it up, you can go either way. you can get extra copies which you may or may not need. if you don't get extra copies and a sitution arises where one is needed, it can be ordered from the ecensus website. you'll just have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive. no need to sweat over this one.

This is good advice.

My Fiancee got 4 copies of her Birth Certificate for P560 (~$14) at NSO Baguio last week. She really didn't like having to pay for "extra' copies, especially since she was going to SM Baguio afterward and only brought P4000 for everything. I think she ended up having to put something back... :P

Can't make a copy for a penny in your home if you don't have an original....

as far as for immigration purposes of exiting the Philippines and entering the USA, it looks like you are set to go.

Is your child registered with the CFO? I believe it's required.

from my understanding, I don't believe so. the son is a USC, who will be leaving Philippines with a US Passport. perhaps someone with direct experince will chime in.

Roy..That's a good point...his son might be a U.S. citizen. If that's the case, I'm not sure if he needs to be registered at the CFO.

Tell me about....

Well I sort of attended, I was sitting outside chatting with the guard while she did the seminar. Not quite as good as staying at a Holiday Express and I didn't get a sticker.
