Yesterday I called NVC asking for my Case Number. The girl told me I will hear something in about 10-20 days. Today I received the e-mail with all the information!!!!!! I am so happy right now!!!!!!

Hi there. I send the DS-3230 email on 06-Mar and received today 14-Mar the acceptance email.

I notice your case was received at NVC on 19-Feb, why did you wait till 11-Mar to send your DS-3032 optin email?

my husband is kinda like that... he would just tell me, let our lawyer or para legal handle it... he would even refuse to get his tax return transcripts in advance... his reason is that our lawyer hasnt told him yet the requirements... and too bad our lawyer said she will just send the list of requirements once we have a case number... darn... :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: so i have no choice but to wait... expecting for another 10-15 days delay for getting his requirements.. I'm just hoping getting the tax transcripts wont take more than 3 days. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

:lol: and here I thought only my husband husband is lazy about calling NVC. I agree, Silly husbands!!! Unfortunately, in my case, since he is petitioning for his mom, I still am at his mercy about calling NVC :bonk:

Hey, I take that offensively! I'm here in the states and have dedicated my life since October to the Visa process. VJ is the number one site on my browser, and USCIS/NVC are on my iPhone favorites at the top. I've not done anything productive around the house for months! blush.gifwacko.gif

If I were you, I would get the information needed, go to the IRS website, and put it in and request the transcripts. I hate lawyers, scumbags who just want to take your money for barely any effort. mad.gif

AOS Fee shows up as paid today kicking.gif, and mailed out the AOS packet via USPS Express Mail Next day!

Because we were told by nvc to wait 20 business days for case number and iin. We tried calling despite what they said but no avail then last friday my husband got an email from nvc abt my nvc no., iin and aos bill so last monday i emailed the ds3032. So that's why. And yesterday my husband paid the aos bill and we received an email from nvc the barcode sheet.

Okay I am sending my co-sponsor a list of the stuff that needs to be done... I just wanted to make sure it looks good and nothing is missing.

- Joint sponsor's documents:

• Form I-864 (Signed and dated)

• 2011, 2010, 2009 Federal Tax Return and W2 (is 2012 required or not?)

• Proof of US Citizenship

• Letter of Employment stating income

• Pay stubs from the most recent six months

Does that sound good ?? :blush:

Tax information for 2012 isn't required yet. You'll more than likely need it for the interview though (unless it's before April 15), so make sure you get it from them eventually.

And did the joint sponsor have any 1099s, worksheets, or schedules? Remember, when you don't send in tax transcripts, you have to include the ENTIRE tax return. Everything you sent to IRS has to be sent to NVC.

Remember, there's a huge difference between NVC received date and case number assigned date. You can't send the DS-3032 until a case number has been assigned ;)

In my defense, my husband is so clueless, he didn't even know the what form he filled out to file for HIS mom (ex. form I-130) :lol: In his defence, he helps me in many other ways that more than makes up for his lack of commitment in immigration process :D

Right Saylin, I was just going by your spreadsheet rule, saying "NVC received = date case number is generated"... hey, I am listening:-)

So right, since looneytunes meant by "received" the date the file got to NVC not the case numbers generated, then I understand the wait.
