OMG.. i think it will be based on luck? :))

we just got approved today... but i am really hoping that 2 weeks will be the maximum date of waiting for the case number.

:innocent: :innocent: :innocent: :innocent: :innocent: :innocent: :innocent: :innocent: :innocent:

anyone in here who hired a lawyer? do you need to send the required DS - 3032?

You would have to be EXTREMELY lucky to get a case number within 2 weeks from now.

And if you have a lawyer, they're automatically designated as agent, so no, one doesn't send a DS-3032 if there's a lawyer/attorney on their case.

It took NVC 10 days just to receive our approval after it happened. They told me not to expect a number until at least March 18th. But I will start calling them again everyday next week! :clock:

now i think 2 weeks is really impossible :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

So you mean, our lawyer will be the one who will receive instructions from NVC and then possibly forward it to me? and will pay the bill? but of course we have to pay her...

Why is it showing my wifes unmarried name on the payment portal? :help:

Should I WORRY?

They use the name that is on the passport you submitted, if you changed her passport send a copy by email with a request to change name. It took them 5 days to change my wifes name.

Sorry, didn't mean to rain on your parade but, a positive attitude and constantly hoping for the best goes a long way in mentally dealing with this process. I hope we all get our numbers in two weeks. My best to you.

i've got advice from previous applicants, they said it's okay to use a passport that shows the applicant's maiden name as long as she has the marriage certificate...

i am married and i will be using my passport with my maiden name on it...
