There have been a number of people asking about expediting. You have to have a valid reason to expedite. Not just because you don't want to wait.no0pb.gifno0pb.gifno0pb.gif

This USCIS website has information. Click here for expedite requirements.

For those who think that expedites are arbitrary and are envious… I wouldn't envy us. We have been through hell since January. Our family received death threats, we were told to get out of the village we own land in, my children and I have been persecuted because we are "white". This is a place we have lived in for seven years now. We finally had enough when a mob encircled our house, and neighbors, who we've always helped, didn't utter a word to support us. In hindsight I should have requested an expedite in the beginning, but we thought we would tough it out and follow the 'normal' immigration process while our children finished their school year - try to keep some semblance of 'normal' life for them.

Wow... Sori to hear about your case.

Hello Everybody and to Saylin (she is an expert) !!!

Again,I have come across with one point while filling the I-864. In 'For Government use only' column of page 5 part 7, it says - "The total value of all assest, line 29, must equal 5 times the difference between the poverty guidelines and the sponsor's household income, line 24c".Does it mean if my assest say bank balance is not the 5 times the difference between the PG value and my current income then I CAN'T SHOW IT or IT IS USELESS TO SHOW IT!!???

Also, in case of showing my bank balance do I need any letter from bank or just the photocopy of account statement will work?? And at the time of interview does my wife need to submit any proof of ownership or CA report her property and her assets??? May be I have to submit the proof of her property with this form if I used her assets to support the income!!? Correct me if I am wrong... SO,.. IS IT THAT ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS GET HER MEDICAL REPORT back there when case is forwarded to embassy???

Sorry If I am thinking too hard :innocent: and making it complicated :bonk: .

THANK YOU

I guess I irritated you guys by my questions  or may be it's :ot: .

I was going through step-by-step instruction while filling the form I-864 and wanted to make sure on above doubts or wanted to know how others did it exactly in their cases. CAUSE GETTING USA VISA IS NOT LIKE GETTING VISA FOR OTHER COUNTRY-THAT'S WHAT I HAVE SEEN. FOR OTHER COUNTRY YOU CAN BE ASSURED IN GETTING A VISA IF YOU DID EVERYTHING AS REQUIRED BY THEM BUT IN CASE OF USA, YOU COULD BE REJECTED FOR NO REASON EVEN IF YOU HAVE FULFILLED ALL THEIR REQUIREMENTS. IT ALL DEPENDS ON COUNSLAR MOOD AND YOUR LUCK.

SO...

THANK YOU.

I think your post just got overlooked.

I know my hubby did not have to use assets as he had enough income in the other part.

I haven’t read up on how to use assets. Sorry :(

Yes... I got my NOA2 on 01/23 but my case number was generated only on 03/05... so it was 41 days total. Hope by Tuesday you'll get your numbers and keep moving.

You should keep contacting USCIS and NVC and also get a congressman involved.

Also, another thing, make sure you read carefully your NOA2 letter and make sure it does not state adjustement of status or anything fishy...

So sorry to hear...sad.gif Human beings are capable of such beautiful things but yet in many cases, quite the opposite, and are some of the most vile, vicious creatures to ever walk this earth.

I pray you and your family get your expedite and get out of there safely.

What is the reason for all of this, after 7 years, so much hate just because you're white? I thought Nepal was a peaceful country.
