Oh, ludakrishna, I am so sorry. I was weepy and cranky today because I was sure something had happened to ours. Just for something to do I called the NVC a little while ago and the first words out of the rep's mouth were "well it is in the mailroom but we don't have a number...". I was fine with that and whooped in his ear.

Your file and my file are taking the same amount of time to get to the NVC so far. I am hoping that your file and my file were next to each other and they found them at the same time! Don't lose hope. Your file can be reconstructed, I was told by the immigration liaison for my own Senator.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

Received a "false checklist" for our IV Packet today, a week after they received my IV Packet - anything to worry about? This suggests that they haven't opened up the FedEx envelope yet, 7 DAYS!!ranting33va.gif

Actually, a false checklist could mean they've approved your IV package! I'd give them a call to confirm! good.gif

As long as his birth has been registered with the government and you have a certified copy then you are good to go.

Ack, are you calling via skype? I hate when I've been waiting on hold for half an hour and as soon as a rep picks up, skype cuts the call. headbonk.gif I have been seriously close to tossing my computer out the window a few times. laughing.gif
