 I would like to request an expedite request for hardship. I’m having extreme hardship being alone and not able to pay all my bils on my own—my fiancée is also not working at this present moment where she is at – do u think it will work?

No. Expedite is for extreme situations, and financial hardship doesn't count. If anything, I'd be wary saying you can't afford to pay all your bills, as if you plan to financially support another person, how can you do that if you can't even pay your bills now? More likely to cause issues than help.

Nope. And keep in mind, your fiancee won't be able work when she gets here until she gets her EAD after you get married (you have to apply for that too), so there would be two of you to worry about versus just you. Better to spend your time and efforts working on finances right now, and getting a sponsor (if you need one) for your I-134 that needs to be completed for the NVC stage. Good luck!

I was just looking at the timeline for the OP, and since you are an early September filer, you are likely looking at seeing some action on your case within the next 2 months without the VERY risky maneuver of requesting an expedite, which as the others have pointed out, will more than likely hurt your case instead of helping it. Best advice already came from above. Wait for your case to follow it's natural course, and take this time to get your Support documentation in order. Depending on your wages, you may need a co-sponsor, but either way you could probably start gather all your detailed documentation for yourself and/or your co-sponsor so you are ready when the NOA2 arrives.

You're supposed to prove that you financially can support your fiance(e)/future spouse. Expediting on a financial hardship is shooting yourself in the foot, immigration-wise.

Right now is a good time to take overtime, save up for the two of you/AOS and make sure you'll be above poverty limits before the petition hits the embassy and before you apply for AOS as well. I know there's an option of having a co-sponsor. But I wouldn't use that as first choice and just let someone else be responsible.

I definitely would've lost my sanity if my husband had to work 10+ hour days AFTER I arrived in the US instead of before. :) We both had income before I moved and European income is generally higher than if your fiance(e) were to find a job in the US. I made 3-4 times as much in Denmark as my husband did in the US. I worked less. However, my income/savings paid for all my trips, immigration and the first 6 months of waiting around for EAD. With a US income, I would've still been saving up to send my 3rd suitcase of personal stuff, hehe..

..not that I don't emphasize with you - I sure do! But always think a step ahead when you're dealing with immigration.

EDIT: Congrats on your NOA2 soon. Soooon! Very soon, hopefully.

No, I see no hardship.....just normal life. You're not the only one.

As someone else pointed out, take the time now to work a few extra shifts if you can or whatever you can to put away a few extra bucks. They aren't going to expedite for financial hardship. Honestly, this whole process is expensive and if they expedited for that, there'd be so many expedited that it would seem like the normal process anyway.

I'm actually kind of jealous because your time should be up soon. I am sure you are anxious to get moving, but patience is your friend right now.

Good luck, hopefully your last month or two will fly by and your betrothed will be here before you know it

As the sponsor of a K-1 you have to demonstrate that you not only can support yourself but can support HER also. TWICE. She cannot work in the USA until you prove she does not need to.

No worries, they go by current income. Nothing else.

It will be more expensive when she gets here  and she will not be able to work for several months, minimum.

good.gifgood way to put a positive spin on it, childcare is expensive. You are almost there, don't put the visa in jeopardy by trying to claim financial hardship. 38k is well above the minimum income requirement for a family of 4. Best of luck, hang in there!!

i will not advice u to used that it might back fire and will deny your K1 visa

(due to income guidelines)

perhaps try to google his country. check how safe or not safe your fiance to his area if you get lucky maybe you'll be qualified to expedite under "humanitarian" grounds. goodluck!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

Your scheme could actually backfire since it could be seen as "buying" a babysitter rather than marrying a fiance.
