I would go with what's on the BC and passport.

The discrepancy might slow down your background checks. Have you tried fixing these issues?

Maybe another member can suggest ways you can go fix this issue to enable you present consistent documentation.

Go with the one on the id cards that weigh more, i.e. passport, and the birth certificate.

What's on the marriage certificate? Make sure it is consistent. Obviously, you need a lot more work legally to have stuff fixed if you preferred De Guzman. If you have time and the money, do it.

I live in Houston and the OP lives in California. People at our offices deal with large numbers of Hispanic surnames. I honestly don't think it will be a problem in THIS case, except at the FBI name check stage where they will have to check both names, but that won't be a huge delay unless there's a hit on one or both that requires deep investigation. If they absolutely can't figure it out, they will probably just send an RFE, but my gut feeling is they won't bother.

I agree with the above poster. I don't see it as a problem. Just use the spelling on your BC and passport.

Best of luck!
