If I'm only guaranteed $100 a week usd but I make $90,000 usd a year and have been doing so the last 3 years , is that going to be a problem. I sell cars, and alot of them.

If an employment letter will only state you make $100 a week, then do not use one. Use pay stubs, bank statements and your W-2s to prove your $90k a year income.

As long as your tax transcripts show you're 125% of the poverty line, then you are fine.

Absolutely, and you may also ask your employer to write a letter verifying that you are still working in the same job where you have been making the high commissions, and verifying that overall you have been making X amount a year and are still an employee in good standing. After all, they write the checks for your commissions, don't they?

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

My pay stubb speaks for itself . Salary $100 a week , separate line for commissions, and another one for bonus.

Then there you go. The affidavit of support asks for four separate income figures. For the tax return section, you'll enter the figure on line 22 of the past three tax returns. For the current income section, simply state your annual earnings. Example: YTD earnings through 8 weeks = X then current annual earnings would equal X times 13.

This is incorrect but a common mistake. For the self employed, yes. For the employed, tax returns reflect past income. Current income is how you qualify. You could have made big bucks the last three years and lost your job last week. In that situation your current income is zero, so you don't qualify based on income. You could also have been a student with no income until say July 1 of last year, then took a 60K a year salary job you still have today. Last year's income would be 30k but current income is 60k.

Well, my tax transcripts show consistent earnings, and I got a raise last year and it's reflected in my 2012 filing (that is complete but I have not yet sent in because I just need my husband's signature), a letter from my job dated this week that I am an employee in good standing making X per year, and I can print out pay stubs up to the one just before I send in the affidavit of support. I think I can assuage any adjudicator's worries, but the more I read, the more my head spins...

Just the one latest pay stub should be sufficient for documenting current income. Usually, they show year to date income, so multiple stubs don't add any value.
