This is a standard refusal for MENA countries, they state they believe your relationship is fake. Typically people try and stop it from returning to USCIS, or wait until USCIS contacts them to re-validate, or re-file. Yes, people overcome this. It won't be simple, it won't be quick, and it won't be cheap, but it's not impossible.

This.

In addition, about your red flags...how exactly does Iraq play into this? Did you study there at some point or are you studying about Iraq? In general, this shouldn't cause a CO to "flip"...

You mentioned needing to marry immediately due to the potential of adultery, etc. None of her family came for the visit or acted as a guardian that could have mitigated this issue for at least part of the trip? Is your wife a recent convert or a born/raised Muslim who happened to have a prior divorce? These type of small details really do help paint the complete picture as to why a CO would lean one way or the other...

Other than getting the new trip set up, you will want your wife to be collecting any additional proofs/evidence for when the NOIR/NOID comes in. It's usually a tight deadline to get the packet turned around. Also, have your wife get release forms into her Senators and Congressperson so she has their immigration liaisons available to do research on the case if needed [an example, you know the case is back at the service center but you haven't received the NOIR/NOID yet - the liaison can call in for a status update].

Best of luck!

As I told you before, you have HUGE red flags and the only way to overcome them is to spend time together with your wife, lots of time. My husband and I had many red flags, we married first visit, have big age difference, difference in religion, I am divorced with children, the list goes on....but the difference is we spent a lot of time together after marriage, I traveled to Jordan 5 times in 8 months, all of them extended stays, and I attended the interview with my husband. We were able to overcome all of our red flags and my husband was issued his visa. You have not seen your wife in almost 2 years, that is huge, especially since you have only met once and it was when you married. We missed each other and found a way to be together, even with the pending I-130 and CR1 and my husband hopefully coming to the US soon, it didn't matter, it was important to us to be together as much as possible. I didn't find visa journey until after our NOA2, I wasn't even aware we had red flags, it wasn't as though we were just trying to overcome them for immigration, we wanted to spend every minute we possibly could together. It will be an uphill battle for you, but not an impossible one. Spend time with your wife, and not just a few days, have her meet your family, family acceptance is very important through Amman and document everything. It will be quite some time before you hear from USCIS, so you will have some time to gather more evidence. Good luck!!!

I was studying in Iraq during the war, and yes it flipped the one who collected the documents from me and the CO himself as well, he became aggressive, he was navigating my file, but he immediately stopped.

My wife is Christian, none of her family members are able to come over due to financial reasons, the ticket would cost 2000$ to KL or Bangkok (were we got married ) in the least.

We already contacted the congress man, but we didn't have any reply from him yet, but we will work on all of the necessary documents needed to make that happened.

The application didn't reach the USCIS yet, the embassy replied yesterday and stated that we have a weak/possible sham relationship, and the application had been sent to USCIS and we can contact them within a month.

Thank you for your reply and you're personal help as well, we really both appreciate it. I have been here since a very long time, but never seen the list of red flags, I didn't make any research about anything until after we already applied by a couple of months, I know its partially our faults, but we believe that it shouldn't be that much of stress since we are already married, and it's there fault that we are not together!! I know it mean nothing, but I really want to share my opinion about that, I know there are fake relationships and so on, but everyone has his own reasons for everything he did, for us, it was that we loved each other then went through the process, our intentions were all good, and we didn't expect in the least that anything wrong would happened to us :(

About spending time together, we have two problems here:

1- Her boss didn't and won't accept to give her more than than a week every 6 months, we already tried, but failed!!

2- it's really costly to travel that much, we are really not rich, and if I weren't a student now, I might help as well, but this is not the case. but we will both try our best to make it happened as often as possible!!

Indeed it will be a huge battle with all of those red flags, but there not that much that can be done about some of the stuff, but we will try our best, if I were looking for the VISA as they claimed, I would've been looking for a rich woman at least, to spare myself a lot of the stress!! But our intentions were really genuine to be together, not anything else, and I promise you I tried to bring her to live with me rather than being apart, but she can't due to several reasons that I prefer to remain private. Anyway, according to all what I'm reading up to now, I guess we are doomed, but we will try our best!!

My husband and I were also denied at the US Embassy in Malaysia for the same thing. Although we had affadavits, 300 pics of us together, phone bills and chat logs. I have made five trips to Malaysia...

I'm really sorry about that as well, please share with me and all of us anything you might do to defy this, I will do the same, and it will help a lot of people that might fall in the same category :)
