Good Day!

I am writing to ask about the situation of my father.

He is eligible to file for naturalization since June 2012 based on 5 year residency.

I am helping him to fill up the forms and I had difficulty answering Part 3(Information about you) letter F

Are either of your parents US Citizens?If YES, see instructions

what should I put YES or NO

His mother become naturalized citizen since 1990, and been to the US since 1985.

My father had been to the US since 2007 and now 53 years old.

Please help me. thank you.

That would be a yes. That question is meant to see if he has a claim to citizenship through his parents. He doesn't because of his age at the time of their naturalization.

02/13/2013 Received 2nd NOA (Interview scheduled)
02/15/2013 Received yellow letter from USCIS to bring DL
03/18/2013 N-400 Interview
03/20/2013 Status changed to in que for Oath ceremony
03/29/2013 Status changed to Oath ceremony scheduled and letter sent
04/01/2013 Received Oath Letter
04/09/2013 Oath Ceremony (N-400 completed in 2 months 3 weeks and 5 days)
