Hi Everyone,

Im getting ready for our interview and I read on the Jordan Amman Embassy interview ocument site that they need the W-2 AND the last 3 years tax papers from sponsor and joint sponsors. My mom is a joint sponsor and retired. So she no longer HAS w-2 but she has 1099-R fromthe government. That information is ON the taxes papers as well. so my question is will my mom have to go find the 1099-R papers as well or will the last 3 years of tax papers suffice? I dont know who else to ask this too as the NVC is no longer involved

I AM the wife. and The U.S. Embassy in Amman Jordan did not request the documents we sent out. They did request the Affidavit of Support Originals, as well as my birth certificate, photocopy of my passport, and the last 3 year tax papers and W-2 statements. My mother is a joint sponsor and retired. Therefore she doenst recieve W-2's anymore but 1099-R's. So I wanted to know if I should send the 1099-R's instead or if the tax papers of the last 3 years would be enough, since all the information on the 1099-R is on the tax papers anyways. Thanks

your mom can call the IRS for actual tax transcripts from those years, that is what I used for my husband's affidavit of support. Takes about 2 weeks to receive them
