No... not at all - we are putting our case together for our local rep.. nothing from USCIS. Hope to have more info soon.

Have you contacted your reps again with an update? ..... this is just so bad - surely after all this they have to do more to help.

I am in regular contact with a congressman's office. There liaison has been understanding and apparently helpful. She calls VSC every two weeks for me and is able to talk to an actual person each time. I have gotten some information each time but the problem is every time VSC says "allow 30 days for a decision to be reached" or something to that effect. I have had a lot of 30 days go by and this response is starting to remind me of the story about crying wolf if you know what I mean. It seems the service centers and USCIS can just say anything they want to pacify at the given moment and there is really nothing the congressman's person or myself can say because they are actually giving a response each time. This coming Friday is my bi-weekly call day so I guess I'll see what happens then. Oh and I also contacted the OMBUDSMAN and they did put in an inquiry. Following is a cut and paste of the response from USCIS to the OMBUDSMAN on March 25, 2013.

Dear Mr. XXXX,

The Ombudsman's Office has received a response from USCIS indicating they are reviewing the file and you will receive a notice within 30 days.

At this time our office will be closing this inquiry, as USCIS has taken action. If you do not receive the notice within the time allotted, please do not hesitate to contact our office and we will follow up with USCIS.

we hope that you find this information to be helpful and thank you for giving our office the opportunity to assist you.

If your circumstances have changed substantially, you may contact us at cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov and reference case number XXXXXXXX.

So I don't know if they really are taking action or not or if this is just another "wait 30 days" response. It's starting to get absurd.....

Oh you guys  and gosh andie, you're still dealing with whatever the hell has happened, have you contacted ombudsman and stuff? Surely since they took your money, failed to provide the service after such a long period of time, that people should be chasing this up for you? If you do refile do you get quicker processing sine they screwed you around?
