I just (finally) filed our I-129F on Friday. I know it'll take a while for it to arrive and be processed at the USCIS office, but what should I expect next? How will I be notified of our next course of action? Also, is there anything my fiancé and I can do in the meantime to speed up the process?

Thank you!

Nothing to do right now because you are at the 5-6 month wait time now. Doing paper work now will only mean its 5-6 months old and you will have to redo it later again.

You will get notification in the mail of the case number in the next few weeks, you can then make an account on USCIS and put the case number in to follow any updates.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

And if you paid by check you can track to see if your check is cashed. That way you know that USCIS received your package.

Exactly.

And you can go through the forum and learn about the process... When you get tired of waiting without doing anything and you feel like to do something visa related (after 5 months, I really couldn't just wait anymore, I needed at least info)... You'll probably have questions and you'll learn a lot.

Good luck!

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
