Will the USCIS website say if an RFE has been sent?

What does the website show when a clerk decides to RFE you? Is there any change?

My application got touched last night and this morning so of course now I'm panicking that I screwed something up and am getting an RFE instead of an NOA2.

Man, it's going to be hard to get any work done today what with checking my e-mail every 12 seconds!

Touches pretty much mean nothing. If they are sending you an RFE, you will receive an email indicating so.

You get a touch every time someone looks at your file even if they accidently spill coffee on it! :D

YMMV

Thanks much for the answer, Kitkat. That's a bit of a relief. Do you know if the website status will reflect RFE, also?

:hehe: I wish someone would spill coffee on my application so that a "touch" would show up... at least then I would know that someone did something to my application. As it is now, my N0A1 was 10 August and I've never had a touch. Heck, I doubt if anyone at USCIS has even seen my file since they sent me my N0A1. 91 days and still waiting.

All good advice. The touch could be followed by a second touch and then a RFE email or NOA2. Or you could sit and wait without knkowing why it was updated. You never know. I am crossing my fingers for you that it means next week the NOA2 is coming. (F)

We got "touched" twice and then when i clicked on the reciept number... the message had changed from saying about the NOA1 to.... we have sent out an RFE.... so in answer to your question... yes it does show up... however that was just for me, not sure if its the same for everyone!

I hope you get a nice approval instead though!!!

 Goodluck!
