Do you think it would be helpful for my wife to bring a USB drive containing every photo I've ever taken in China?

As part of the I-130 submission I included several pages of photographs of my (at that time) four trips to China. I visited my wife again in December - and took a lot of photographs, and will be visiting my wife for a sixth time in April, and will obviously take even more photographs. I'll include a good number of photographs from those last two trips in my DS-230 submission.

Note: Because my wife is very busy writing her Master's degree thesis, she doesn't want to go on her interview until at least August 1. So I won't submit the DS-230 package until I get back from my April trip, which should extrapolate to an interview some time in late August to late September.

Anyway, because the age difference between my wife and me is large AND because her English isn't great, I expect that the Immigration Officer at the Guangzhou consulate is going to be skeptical, even though I've included lots of evidence in the form of emails, video chat logs, affidavits, photographs of a surprise party my co-workers gave to me before my marriage, and proof of my financial investment in this marriage. (I'm also going to add my wife to my checking account and to my credit card account this week.) Something else I do whenever we do a video chat is that I collect a screenshot at the start and end of the chat that shows both of our images, plus three sources of time-stamps. I have a large set of these video-chat photos, each one titled with the start and end date and time of the chat.

So I was thinking that it might be useful to place all of the original photographs I'll have taken over the six trips, plus all of the video-chat screen shots, on a USB drive, and give it to my wife to take to her interview. That would provide the IO a comprehensive idea of the time my wife and I have spent together. Several of the photographs are rather intimate (but not obscene in any way), and I think the full set would lend a ton of credibility to anyone who might doubt the legitimacy of our marriage.

Since I'm filing electronically, I don't think there's any way I can supply a USB drive to the NVC as part of the DS-230 document intake process. But I'd tell my wife to give it to the IO at the very beginning of her interview, and explain to that person what the USB drive contained.

Does this seem like a good idea, or does anyone have any suggestions relative to this idea?

It will be overkill. I had my fiancee (now wife) bring a USB with all our picture, emails, skype conversation and it was not necessary.

Do you think they would put a random USB in their massive computers full of sensitive information? You could transmit a virus.... They take national security a little more seriously than that.

They will not accept the USB, but with China being one of the more difficult Visa's to obtain the more evidence you can provide for bonifide relationship the better. Since you have obtained more evidence since your I-130 I would definitely send the new eviedence with your DS-230 package because when your wife goes for the interview the IO more than likely has already made up their mind if the marriage is a sham in their eyes. Hopefully you have photo's with you and your wife with family and friends.

They aren't allowed in the US embassy in Montreal - not sure about other countrys.

Print examples as many as 9 per page on plain paper, in color. No electronic media will be inspected.

print out pics that span over the period you have known each other, project love, taken with and among other people, attending events etc and place into an album or folder she can easily slip though the window( most of their openings are narrow).
