Divorce case disposed what to do?

My friends are getting a divorce. They both are not getting along and having problems. It seems to be a bitter fight. The husband filed for divorce but never showed up for the court date and the case was disposed. His wife thought she was getting a divorce and found out that he was not getting a divorce and has been lying about it. The case status is currently disposed.

The wife has her first green card and is adjusting status.

Should she file a new divorce on her own? What would be her options?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

if she has a greencard, she can file for divorce with no worries.

once the divorce is finalized, she can file for ROC, ticking the 'divorced' box on the form.

It's still on her to show evidence of a bonafide marriage, though.
