I see you were touched the next day after your approval. The same thing happened to me that was when they had sent our petition to NVC mine only took 1 day after it was approved to be sent to the NVC i have seen rescently some people's taking longer anywhere from 1-2 weeks to get to the NVC. Once the NVC recieves your pepetition you will then have a new case number. I got a letter in the mail about 1 week after they got our approved petition on this letter it will tell you what your new case number is. Or you can call the NVC to see if they recieved your approved petition they will then give you the new case number on the phone. I would wait at least 1 week to check with them to see if they recieved your petition. Just my advice. I hope this helps. Good luck with the rest of your process.

Faal4anisa, again, the answer is the same as the last time you asked. Your case will go from the CSC to the NVC somewhere between 1 and 6 weeks after your NOA2. It does not normally take 90 days unless you are stuck in name checks.

You can contact the NVC via phone or email - I know you already have this information. They will also send you a letter when the case has left the NVC for the embassy. Your case status will not change from this point on, aside from one or two after your approval.

KITKAT1

I think you dont understand my question you are telling me it takes from two to four weeks to get the petition from uscis whereas in the NOA2 it is written as stated that after more than four weeks since you received the approval notice and you have not received notification from NVC that your petition has been forwarded overseas pls call NVC whereas i m asking about the transfer of case from uscis to nvc how long it takes to get there and i m looking that mostly people approved petition are received within the 10 days. I am curious that almost 2 weeks gone and still i heard nothing from NVC.

Which is exactly what Kitkat was referring to. It can take several weeks for a petition to be tranferred from USCIS to NVC. Some are transferred within two weeks, some are not. It is frustrating I know, but give it some more time. Just keep calling the NVC and speaking to an operator to find out about your case. All the best to you.

Thanks for your response. I just want to ask u rather to say that i feel esp we people from the sub continent they had to go more hard process of this visa as it is taking much longer time and when today i read one of my friend from india that first he put on AR for 08 months and then his petition was send back to USCIS. I mean i can understand how frustating for him whereas people from europe or south american or australia continent i see that the day they are interviewed they get visa next day or in a week and wheras we had to go through the tough process of AR and that u dont know whether it takes one month one year or two year it really makes me afraid that u had to wait so much long i know how i pass those 189 days to get my NOA2 whereas other get their visa in that stipulated time i know we are helpless on this and the mercy of american embassy how they treat us and plus i also see that u should also be prepared for the embarassng questions from the consular officer i will write in detail about my interview how it will happen right now i m just waiting that how much now NVC TAKE TIME TO SEND MY PETITION TO THE AMERICAN EMBASSY.

Wish everybody good luck for their journey and their reunion

Not yet, Faal and Anisa! I was approved on the 2nd of November and my petition hasn't reached NVC yet. Let's not lose hope and faith! We'll see our papers at NVC in a very short time. Let's be positive! I'll let you know when mine gets there.

Thank you for your post faal4anisa. Please try to break up your run-on sentences when posting. It's very difficult to read. The below is ONE sentence.

again and again and again.

Your case was approved on November 2 = 11 days ago. There was one federal holiday when the service centers and NVC were closed.

It will take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks FOR YOUR APPROVED PETITION TO REACH THE CONSULATE.

For example, it took 21 days for my petition to reach the NVC and that was fast by comparison to other recent cases.

Then it will most likely go from the NVC to the consulate quickly.

Asking the same question over and over and over does not change the answer. You can contact the NVC to ask if they have received your petition.

 Or you can sit back, relax, take a deep breath, and try to be patient.

p.s. take a look here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=41705&hl=

to see how long a recent transfer took.
