I-134 questions

Hello-

1) When sending in the I-134, is it mandatory that an official bank letter must also be attached as proof of funds?

2) For employment/salary verification, would it suffice to send in the W2s?

2) My fiance will be accompanied by her 10 year old daughter. Do I need to file 2 separate I-134 forms?

Thank you for your answers.

1. If you are using bank funds to substantiate the 125% above the poverty line then yes. If you have more then enough income without accounts then no.

2. You need W2's and a letter from your employer, you should also have tax transcripts for the past few years.

3. i don't think so, it will be the same interview so I would guess the same information would suffice. Someone may correct me on that.

I would definitely get a letter from your bank on your savings account history as well as the tax transcripts. Also a letter from your employer showing hire date and current employment status. I went back three years on the tax transcripts and used them instead of w-2.

I-134, Affidavit of Support: To file a promise with the Bureau to support an alien entering the United States and that the alien will not become a public charge. A separate affidavit must be filed by the sponsor for each person.

My fiance's visa was delivered to her today!

Thanks all. Appreciate this.

Filing a separate I-134 for my step child does not make sense though, because the I-134 form has a section named "Name of spouse and children accompanying or following to join person". This is the place where I list my step daughter.
